Should crowns us used to buy gold and therefore can gold be used to buy cosmetics?

Lets be honest, 80% of people are ready to shell out on this game and are very defensive about it. They have more to gain. And the remaining 20% Or whatever the statistics are can be happy by aquiring cosmetics through high gold through crown consumers... Isn't this a win win situation?


Eg 1 Crown = 5000 gold or something I don't know just a random conversion

This can allow cosmetic(Skins/mounts/polymorphs) to be paid in game through gold as well Or it can be sold through crown buyers

People with extreme amounts of gold can benefit with obtaining cosmetic items they desire through Gold which could also act as an effective Gold Sink

AND people who are interested in purchasing crowns have more to benefit as they can also avail good amounts of gold through selling premium items. Through which they can buy game drop items from guild stores and what not?


My goal with the thread is not to make a mess of things but just speculating if it would give crown players as well as Non crown players more flexibility to get what they want.

All goodies from gambling crates in SWTOR can be sold, and it is significant part of the economy there.

I liked that, but with ridiculously limiting trading system in ESO it will not work.

No crowns for gold. Inflation is already to prevalent in the game.

Crowns for gold is bad idea. Besides gold is super easy to get in the game anyway.
