I need help building a vampire Magicka NB DPS

Spaghettiknight
Since Magicka Nightblades are considered to be bad because of the lack of buffs given to them during patches I can't find a recent build that I want to use. I'd like to make a Breton vampire Magicka NB. I'm aware that it won't be top DPS, this is mostly for fun in PvE content.

Current ideas:
-Ideally I'd like it to be DoT focused.
-I want to use Invigorating Drain (vampire skill) to help build ultimate quickly and deal DoT damage.
-I'm planning to use Soul Assault as an ult because of it's low cost and DoT.
-I'm unsure of if I want to go DW/Resto or Shock Destro/Resto (or Shock/DW, with Shock staff being for DoT damage and Magicka recovery).
-I'd like to use Mother's Sorrow or Julianos, so I need a set that would work well with one of those.

Questions:
-Is there any point to using the Agony morphs in PvE?
-Is Summon Shade and it's morphs any good in PvE?

5 Julianos/mothers sorrow, 4 infallible aether, 2 grothdarr/skoria. Skoria works well on magblades because of the dots, but I prefer grothdarr. Use Julianos staffs, I recommend going double destro, one inferno and one lightning. Crippling grasp is a lot stronger than agony and it's morphs.

Set the inferno as main bar with swallow soul, refreshing/twisting path, impale, harness magicka and inner light. Ultimate soul harvest for fast ultimate gain.

Back bar with sap essence/structured entropy, crippling grasp, elemental blockade, siphoning attacks, inner light and ultimate: shooting star/elemental rage.

Got me flawless conqueror on third run, good dps and dot based. What I do in four man content is replace the julianos lightning with infallible aether lightning staff to debuff bosses, if the healer doesn't have the infallible aether set.

Shades in combination with necropotence set is a decent build as well, replace julianos with that then.

Sounds to me like you want something like Soulshine + vampire lord.

-Invigorating drain double dips from both of these sets. Very sweet!

-Soul assault improves from Soulshine set.

-Lightning staff heavy should improve from Soulshine set but cannot confirm.

Downside is you can't use Julianos or mothers sorrow. Good luck!

    I'm a Breton vamp. Here's what I run for dw/resto in pve.

    2 grothdarr
    5 overwhelming surge
    5 necropetence or spinners set

Spam sap essence and batswarm or veil of blades. And funnel health for single target. You will melt everything around you in pve.

No point in using agony in pve. And shades are good if you run necropetence. Otherwise there are better options.

Not realy. Not enough single target dps from the one morph and not enough aoe from other.
One time a year ago i used it in msa when it comes online for the archers. but just for the first 1-2 runs...

Just with necropotence set and dark shades for single target, but there are much better setups...
