How to build my skyrim character in eso and will it work?

roguestrike01ub17_ESO
My character in Skyrim is a Nord with these skills:

2 handed
Block
Conjuration
Destruction
Alteration
Restoration
Heavy Armor
Smithing
Enchanting

I summon atronaucs cast a flesh spell and charge into battle with my 2 handed axe and handle ranged combat with a destruction spell in my main hand and a shield in my offhand.

Is this a possible build in eso I really enjoy the game-play style an I would love to play it online if it is viable.

If it is how would I go about building this character?

Forget playing this like a traditional ES game. It has preset class skills and you need to lean heavy on magicka or stamina to be successful.
I didn't choose tank life, tank life chose me.

I'll start off by saying that it's not entirely possible. There are numerous aspects of Skyrim that did not translate to this game, so we'll have to be a bit creative with this. Here's my idea for what you can do to make a similar(ish) build:

    Race: Nord (good w/ two-handed)
Class: Sorcerer - has conjuration (daedric summoning line & atronach ultimate), destruction (storm line), and a couple abilities could be considered alteration I guess
Armor: Heavy - allows magicka and health benefits that can support your build and compensate for not using a shield
    Bar 1: Two-handed
Bar 2: Destruction or Restoration staff - for this class, restoration staff is the best/only option for restoration

Armor set(s): no idea. It really just depends on what you want, and I'm not too good at picking them myself.

And as far as smithing/enchanting go, you'll have no problem. The only thing you won't have is a shield, but with the nord's higher base health and using heavy armor, not using a shield should not have a drastic of an effect compared to other builds.

Keep in mind, this is just a brief overview of class/race/weapons that I think you should focus on to recreate your Skyrim build. I'm sure that with some tweaking that this build could be somewhat "viable" but I could be totally wrong. I'd say this is a good option if you aren't too concerned with being too competitive.

I don't need to be the best of the best but I want to be able to participate in group content.

I don't need to be the best of the best but I want to be able to participate in group content.

Then you're probably better off leaving your Skyrim character in Skyrim.

I was quite surprised by how things worked in ESO coming from Oblivion and Skyrim, you're better off thinking of ESO as an MMO rather than a traditional Elder Scrolls game.
Think about the role you would like to play, then build your character to be effective at that role.

You can still be a Nord with a 2 hander but on your 2nd bar you might consider using a bow.

I don't need to be the best of the best but I want to be able to participate in group content.

You could probably come up with something you could quite easily complete group content with, albeit less than optimally, but your biggest hurdle would be other players' attitudes to your build. You would need some friends to group with who understood your capabilities and philosophy. There is a phenomena in this game of people being kicked from pugs for being "non-meta" or under levelled before they even get to prove themselves. Running your hybrid build would increase your chances of being kicked I think. But nobody can actually stop you and assuming you had a good understanding of game mechanics you could complete most content.

Fwiw I also tried to build my skyrim char in eso when I first started and it was similar to yours. I created a sorc but within a week I was full magicka with no melee weapons, becasue I care more about being optimal.

Normal dungeons are pretty easy so you should be able to do those even though your build is not very well specialized. There is also a set called "Pelinal's Aptitude" that scales all your spells and abilities with your greater resource. I have understood that you can use it to throw powerful heals/destruction spells too even if you were full stamina (just notice that your magicka pool doesn't grow and you probably have enough magicka for only 2-3 spells).

Also, tanks can be build by dividing atributes between all three: Stamina, Health and Magicka. If you go for 1h+Shield skill line, your character could become good tank even though it deals less damage.
You might also like a full magic tank (this probably wont work unless you have +400champion points). I have been building one and experimented it today, managed to go through White-Gold Tower without any specall difficulties. I used permafrost heavy armor set with Infillable Aether jewelleries and 2 armor pieces ( light), kept myself shielded with Conjure Ward (sorc skill), bound mobs to ground with restraining prison and taunted & bashed enemies with 1h+shield, while buffing myself and the team with resto staff and alliance war abilities. This build can also be turned into Damage dealer just by swapping gear to light armor and picking a destro staff.

id make a heavy armor stam sorc and use maw of something monster set that summon a deadroth.
lvl enchanting and smithing skill lines
alteration can use incase spell in dark magic line
destruction use hurricane. forget range it wouldn't be viable with magic
for resto use vigor a heal that's a hot anf use two handed heal ability
use S&B on back bar for defense and utility like encase.

other option is a Templar and some thing king of but for destruction would be stam morph for backlash
    range would be binging javelin
resto would be cleanse and same heals as sorc
    conjuration same monster set
alteration would be rune focus or ther morph

You can play any way you want, as long as you want to do pure Magicka or pure Stamina.

    So... Yes and no.

2h does actually give you a bit of extra damage, even as magicka, though 2 swords gives more... It doesn't make any sense but thats just how it is for some reason  but as a magicka user (magicka sorcerer is the summoner of creatures) you won't be able to actually use the skills from 2h effectively, so it will only be for light/heavy attacks and for the passives for extra damage...

As a sorcerer, you could use a destruction staff as second weapon, because if you are using pets, they can heal you so you won't need a resto staff, and surge, a sorcerer skill, also heals quite well, I never use a restoration staff on my sorcerer

If you choose templar, you won't be able to summon any creatures, they don't have that ability, unless you use a monster set for it, but they have an entire tree dedicated to restoration abilities which gives you allot of freedom when it comes to weapons, as you can slot a heal on any bar you choose, and they tend to be much more close range, whereas sorcerers fare better with ranged attacks. Templar is probably better with heavy armour than sorcerer, and templar is also much easier to play as a starter character IMO.
