SO yea I farmed 1300 ore and got 11 gold tempers , decided to farm another 1k and got 1. Asked around and found out that there is a limit due to ( I wont name where they all originate from because we all know already ) gold farmers using bots./.

Well I have news for you ESO, chances are those farmers go and buy a 10 dollar throw away account to take a cheap chance at getting past your screening process while each one of those accounts gets an easy ride to whatever limit you have placed WHILE LEGIT players who spend the extra time for materials get screwed on our only account we use...

So if that's the case, I think you should reconsider. Maybe invest in other detection efforts and leave legit players alone.

Getting 11 from 1300 is crazy high. the next 1000 only getting you 1 is expected statistically.

Remember, it's 5% chance, so 1 temper from 200 ore. You refined a total of 2300 ore, you should expect something like 11.5 temper. You got 12, this sounds accurate.

Not to nitpick, but 1-in-200 is a 0.5% chance, not 5%.

The 5% comes from the fact that with 200 ores, you are refining 20 times. 1 out of 20 refines is 5%.

Doubt there is global limit line your suggesting.

Last night I had this level 3 was in Mournhold with over 500+ wax and when I asked him how he got so many he said he was businessman. It was obvious English was not his native tongue since he could barely understand much what I was saying and speaking in broken sentences.

Does zos actively search for people who sell gold for cash? Seemed obvious this person has a main account but uses throw aways to conduct "business" that's against tos.

Just thought it was funny his reason for having so many gold upgrade mats was because he is businessman.

I tend to get about 2 tempering per stack of 200. Sometimes I get none, sometimes I get 4-5 per stack. RNG is a mysterious beast.

there is no mats farming bots in the game. for one thing, they dont use an actual player to do it. they hack the game and send the proper code telling the game that they were x and harvested plant y whenever plant y spawns. this was seen in first month of the game before zos put in thier anti-bot ware where you would see a mat run up to it to harvest it and it would just disappear with no players anywhere nearby but you.

I have never had that happen until about a week ago but it happened 3 times while playing yesterday. Is it something to do with botting, then? It is extremely annoying.

These bots seem to be pretty ineffective then, because I've had that happen a few times, but only to one node in the whole area while I get the rest...

oh wow.. I have seen that a couple of times within the last 2 months. I thought it was lag or a phasing issue. I was going to try and record what was happening, but don't know when I'll encounter it next. From what I've noticed, it seems to happen more often with enchanting runes oddly enough. So, if bots have figured out how to get around ZOS's anti-bot stuff and are doing this again.. now what? :(

Yup, it's been happening more and more recently within the last 2 months or so. It's weird how it is typically a enchanting rune although, I had it happen a couple of days ago to an ore node too.

stop crying over everything. ur pressing two buttons and somehow ur entitled to get the highest level of materials? i idndt get a single set golden until i d played 6 months and was cp200. now players want monster helms and gold at level 45. the people are out here killing maelstrom runs and suffering rng and ur gonna come here and whinge about ur luck when u had to press r and e.
people complain about undaunted rng fair enough- maelstrom rng- especially fair- but this?!?!? stop the entitled complaining and forums about deserving gold items- its clogging and toxic.
u picked some rocks off the ground, and took it to a bench- and actually got what u statically deserve- i.e. what every one else got. then u thought it somehow unfair - as if pressing these two buttons earned u more?!?!
