You need to put every skill point into magic, evry glyph but one or 2 magic.

If you have a couple traits you can craft your own seducer in heavy armor. Body pieces leave room for monster set.

Max out cost reduction, then regen next in cp tree.

You need willpower jewelry. Put magic regen on all three.

go all divine gear for whats crafted, look up atro mundus stone and pick it up. Head and shoulder should be light for first 3 passives of the skill line.

You'l need skillpoints for most of your passives.

Even at low cp you will be able to faceroll any pve content. Make sure you have the right morph of jabs to heal you, so you don't need breath of life to much.

    Cheers!

I just rolled a new Redguard to test out a Stam Sorc build. It sounds more different than anything I've tried so far. I only got to 7 this evening, but it sure was a fun ride.

As an older player who thinks her fingers don't move as quickly as they did 20 years ago, I second the notion of going with a redguard stam sorc. It's a very forgiving race/class combo and you should be able to faceroll the vast majority of solo PvE content with this. Well, all except Veteran Maelstrom Arena, but then again I haven't met any players who are AARP eligible who have managed to complete that content either.

For solo PVE there's nothing like a high-crit, stamsorc with DW and bow at the moment.

Keeping it very simple and with no vet dungeon DPS race min/maxing, for solo just use 2 bow skills: endless hail and poison injection and 2 DW skills: steel tornado and bloodthirst. From the class abilities use critical surge and hurricane and then bound armament on both bars. You can mow through all solo content just with that.

Then use whatever else you feel like using... rearming trap and evil hunter from fighter's guild are good... for heals vigor from PVP or if you don't PVP Dark Deal.

For ultimate you can use the DW and bow ultimates, storm attronach, dawnbreaker, meteor... whatever.

I've been playing melee stamsorcs for a long time but the DB update with its change to critical surge that pretty well guarantees a medium heal every second on a high-crit, DOT build turned stamsorcs into the FOTM. Everywhere you go now you see and hear hurricane... there's a reason for that: good damage, good survivability, easy rotation.

It doesn't get any easier than stamsorc.

For those suggesting Stam Sorc, quick questions please:

    1. Some have suggested 1HS, others DW/Bow.
    2. Some have suggested 5L/1M/1H, others 5H.

    Any thoughts?

    1. PVE: DW/Bow PVP: 2HD/Bow
    2. Unless you're tanking, 7/7 medium for PVE. For PVP you might want to mix in some heavy but your stamina sustain will suffer. the 5-1-1 thing (and the 5 should always be medium for stam) is for an undaunted passive that gives you an extra 6% to all 3 stats IF you have unlocked it.

    1. DW/bow for PvE
    2. Don't go with 5L, that's more for a magicka build not a good choice for a stamina build. I would suggest 5H to help you survive and once you feel "tanky" enough, you can convert to 5 medium.

An easy build is probably a puncturing sweeps magicka templar build.

Just get TBS or Julianos and some other Magicka set (Spinner?) and you are set. Throw in a monster set and you are golden.

You will heal yourself through with puncturing sweeps so unless you get one shotted you will pretty much never die.

A harder build but higher dps build is stamina sorcerer. With crit surge they can heal themselves quite well and dish out tons of single target dps as well as aoe dps.

Also, I wouldn't agree with the previous poster that dps doens't matter, as you don't want to spend an hour killing one enemy. Sorcs can easily hit the high 20k dps on a single target with the right rotation (and right gear and cp). Templars won't hit as high (hard to hit over 20k single - target) but will stay alive.

or siphon nb, cheap build, julianos + any other set that has max magicka/spell power buffs. more complete build utilizing its strong points: dw spc + forgetting name the set that does the proc burst off class skills + grothdarr.

Sorry man but 5H for stamina sorc solo PVE is really bad advice. You need those medium armor passives that up your crit, regen stamina, reduce stamina cost of abilities and increase your damage by a substantial 12% for wearing 5M.

5H for stamsorc is a niche PVP or tanking thing - never for solo PVE.

The person asking the advice is having trouble surviving in solo normal PvE stuff, we're not talking about group end game PvE here. I have the same problems the OP does, fingers don't move fast, they don't do what I want them to do so I think I'm giving them very good advice because I can complete solo PvE content playing this way :)

I think bar swapping during combat is a stupid mechanic and so when I came back with One Tam. I looked for a single bar build. The Kahjitt, DW, Med. armor, Stam. Sorc. was the ticket to AOE grinding to cap and then enjoying the content without the twisted fingers.

    Simple fun cheese.

May be a bit expensive but there are aftermarket controller that make bar swapping a breeze. For the life of me I can't remember the 1 I use.

Edit for link. Has paddles underneath you can assign bar swaps to. Makes a world of difference, fully customizable. Pretty awsome, since I'm older it helps tons.

Basically put on as much proc and trigger sets as you can and mash buttons every 4 seconds. It works in PvE too.

I solo'd vet vaults of madness the other night with stam sorc, 5H/2M.
With the same character/build I've solo'd vet arx, vet tempest, vet crypts, vMA, etc etc.

It's solid, reliable, pretty much unkillable build.
It does however, rely on tremorscale for a big chunk of it's damage, which means it's a bad build for levelling, a good build for solo'ing end game content.

I'd suggest doing DW/Bow in 5M/2H while levelling, and then swapping over to 5H/2M or 5H/1/1 once you hit level cap and have tremorscale.

    You can also go, stamsorc.

They got a lot of easy Healing that you can use and deal pretty decent dps without stress.

I go 6:1 medium and heavy, extra armour and resources without making sustain suffer too badly. I've been playing stam sorc for a little over a year on my one and only toon and wouldnt trade classes for anything else
