Question to the Community!

I have made many threads over the course of my Forum time. However, two in particular stand out as having been really helpful to the community - my Motif thread and my Future Content thread. They served to compile tons of information into a single spot, so you can find everything on a topic in one place without searching hours for it.

I want to know if another one of these types of threads would be helpful if focused on Sets. Problem is, they are already pretty easy to find on the Wiki, despite my ability to make them very easily visible.

Would it help people if I actually created a thread on Sets or would it be a waste of time? Likewise, should I make another thread on another topic?

Creating a thread where I list and organize 257 sets isn't very quick and I don't want to create it if people find it useless.

That's all! :) Just want to know if the community would actually like it and find use for it.

First of all @Vaoh I want to tell you... honestly... I've never met a player like you, embracing all aspects of the game (mechanics / min/maxing / fashion, etc...), excelling at all of them, never be elitist or condescending, and putting a lot of extra work to share content with the community that has extraordinary added value. THANK YOU.

    Back to topic now :)

I think a simple list of existing sets with their bonuses wouldn't be of help. As you said, you can find them anywhere. What WOULD be of great value would be a list of setz with YOUR THOUGHTS on them, as an expert, as to what the purpose of each set could be, to what playstyle it could be useful, and in combination with which other sets.

I know that would be a huge work though...

First of all, I have bookmarked the two threads you mentioned. I hadn't realised you had produced them both. They are absolutely fantastic, so thank you for the work you do.

As you say, there is already a great resource for sets (i assume we are talking about http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Sets) so perhaps there is not the same demand.

Off the top of my head (these guides may exist), the things I would bookmark would be a definitive list of what fish are found where (with maps) and a list of the quests which reward unique set pieces. I'm not asking you to do it, but I wanted to say something more constructive than 'no need for you to do a sets guide'.

I look forward to seeing what you give to the community next.
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

    Ty! :)

Yeah it would take a lot of time to review 257 sets and actually provide helpful feedback for them all. Chances are it'd be met with plenty of backlash by those with differing viewpoints as well. Definitely a good idea but I couldn't pull it off.

The Wiki is just too good with their organization for me to bother. Glad I wasn't wrong in thinking it would be waste of time to create!

I would say it would be a waste of time since there's an app for your phone that organizes all of the sets quite nicely.

    That link is correct!

Your fishing list and unique item quest list ideas aren't bad at all. Both sound helpful, especially the quest reward thread.

    I'll think about it!

    Yes,

    1. I'd like to see a list of sets with recommendations . ( for which type of class/build they are)..with advantages and disadvantages).

    2. A list of quests with unique and very good rewards

    3. A thread like this http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/pts-2-1-2-sorcerer-arithmagic/ but with explanations for all the classes.
I'm sure many people don't understand why a set is better than other..what advantages , bonuses they offer . A comparison between sets and how they affect the builds. Also a deep explanation of the stats ..and how their synergies work would be nice too!
Also many people don't know which skills to use and which not....sometime the game is very confusing.
An item/skill comparison like the one from Diablo 3 would be nice...but until then a deep analysis from experts like you would be awesome!
    4. And keep up your awesome work!

English is not my native language.

I know not everyine is but if you happen to be on pc there is an addon called browser Itemization. It has a list of all the sets, their stats and where to find them. Doesnt matter if they are crated, monster sets, dungeons, trials, they are all there.

Never underestimate the laziness of people.

There'll always be a need for compilation threads and someone to reiterate a comment made 3 posts above so if you're willing to take the mantle and create them then there'll always be a need for them.

Besides, it'll give the admins something to do closing duplicate threads and redirecting them to yours.
