Which Character/Class can clear solo PvE content the fastest?

I currently play a Magicka Nightblade and he does really well with his Blockade of Elements and other AOE abilities for clearing groups of mobs in solo areas. I saw a Sorcerer the other day and not sure if he was magicka or stamina but he was in the same area as me and seemed to be downing the same groups of mobs at a much faster pace. Also grouped with a Templar in a Vet Dungeon and while we were waiting on someone he went up to the first pack of trash mobs and cleared them himself in record time. I was kind of impressed but again no idea what his build was or anything.

I'm going to turn my NB into a StamBlade and set him aside for PvP only. I want to create a new Character for PvE farming and want to make whatever class or build is the fastest at it. It's not about playing what I like, I already enjoy my NB just fine. I'm one of those people that literally farm stuff for hours each night. I like farming zone delves, dungeons, etc for drops, scraps, certain gear, etc. Mostly I do this on my own but I do occasionally group up.

Just want to know which class be it Templar, Sorc, DK, can clear PvE the fastest. Magicka or Stamina? I am comfortable either way just need a direction to start leveling one.

My Stam sorc is by far my fastest with under 2 seconds to kill on normal trash mobs. But he is also my focus, most well built character.

My mag dk is pretty close time wise but she spends more time waiting for mag to regenerate between fights. Nearly no down time for Stam sorc

My Stam blade can kill normal trash in less than a second on opening from stealth but multiple mobs prolong the fight.

Number one is mobility. Stamina builds with Vicious Ophidian excel here. Stamsorc is probably the most mobile, and also has very easy self-heals with crit surge. Magicka Sorcs are pretty close as well.

You're right that magplars can kill fast once in the battle, but they're not so fast getting from group to group.

My mag sorc runs: LL, Elemental blockade, familiar, and IG (things that deal AoE damage) and boundless storm (flex spot tho)

I average about 27k dps per target.

If Im running for pure speed (either easy content or I feel like I won't make mistakes) I run, Necropotence Alchemist as my sets.

For an idea of speed, to clear every single NPC and boss in v Fungal Grotto it takes me approximately 30 min solo

Stam Sorc for sure. They are the fastest in VMA and fly through dungeons and grinds. Go redguard and you won't have stamina issues. Hurricane plus Crit Surge melts everything around you and you have more heals then you know what to do with. I think they are the most fun Stam class to play.

I love my mSorc, but for what you are describing Stam is better. mSorc will play a lot like your nightblade. This will give you some variety.
