I have officially gotten my 5 tbs 5 vo with maelstrom weps, but I cannot for the life of me consistantly get 30k dps. None of my gear is gold and I'm missing 2 peices divines and neither my axe or dagger are sharpened. Would getting two more divines and both sharpened weps get me above 30k? BTW, the best single target I have gotten is 27.5k on slimecraw.

    1) Upgrade your weapons to legendary, it makes a lot of a difference, but have a look at point number 2 before you waste 16 tempering alloys for that.

    2) The sad thing is that every no-name-crafted-sharpened-weapon is better as a non sharpened MA weapon. This counts even more for duelwielding, because you can get even an extra set bonus by using 2 weapons on your mainbar. Any bonus who lowers physical resistances is priceless for Stamina DDs.

This makes MA runs so frustrating. It's not stage 5 or stage 9, the RNG is your enemy number 1 and he seems invincible.

Sharpened is HUGE, you can add at least 4% more damage from what you're currently using (precise? ) it's like powered etc it'll be closer to 8% difference

yeah i have a precise axe and dagger (I think the dagger is sharpened but it might be infused). What about golding everything and the other 2 divines peices. How much more DPS would that add(i have shadow and thief)?

Golding out your weapons is pretty significant. I'm honestly not sure how much difference the rest makes though.

What I mean by that is the difference individually. All together I'm sure it adds a decent enough chunk, but I don't know how significant the change is in just turning your pants gold, for example.

Sharpened is worth about 12% dps over precise or nirn and 15% over garbage trait (not sure where infused figures on dual wield as the enchant is crazy OP) so yea, you would make 30k easily. Gold weapons are also very significant increases. Divines is an increase but is very minor. Gold apparel is also significant but not to the degree of sharpened or gold weapons.

sharpened > gold weps > gold gear (your particular co ice of gear benefits only a little from being gold so make the enchants gold and leave the gear purple)> right traits on gear.

Honestly, you would be well over 30k with right traits and golded out. Right traits and gold weapons are basically required. Your dps looks very good to me for not having them.

Lastly, now all gear set bonuses scale to the worst color so do not ever gold out less than an entire gear set as you get no benifit at all except the enchant which you could to indivudually for very cheap. It is stupid and didn't use to be that way but it is now.

I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

Weapons should always be gold first. Especially at CP160 there is more weapon damage obtained by going gold that lower levels.

Much of it comes from execution, how smooth it is. I assume you are using bow on your back bar with Poisson Injection and endless hail but also putting down Rearming Trap (fighters guild) then swapping to your DW bar. Poisson Injection does good damage to begin with but really rocks once the targets health drops. Rearming trap does decent enough damage but the real reason to use it is the minor force which provides 12% additional damage when the attack crits. That alone increases total damage but a few percent.

You would do rapid strikes before going to your bow bar then do Poisson injection since vMA weapons will buff that.

Beyond that I do not know what your class so unsure what else you would use.

The discussion about sharpened, yes it would increase your damage, again by a few percent, but I would expect vMA weapons with non ideal traits would still outperform sharpened of another set bonus, but could very easily be wrong.

A trick is to use rapid strikes, then trap, endless hail and then poison injection. Trap gets empowered by vma enchant, but doesn't consume it. So put endless in between to fill the time to the trap hit, and poison injection to consume the buff before it runs out.

Not sure if that still works, it did before 1T and made stam rotations a lot better and more effective.
