No, it's not dying.

It also won't die. Based on the future content that will arrive for ESO, this game is far from dying.

Crown Crates are something I never anticipated though. I'm not experienced in knowing how these will impact ESO in the long term, though I know it is a very negative addition.

If ZOS just scrapped Crown Crates (or better yet, showed they cared about their playerbase and never invested resources to develop them) it would be a 100% guaranteeed yes that ESO had a bright future.

With a growing population since One Tamriel, any common idiot could've figured out that balancing PvP would've been a better contribution than Crown Crates. I cannot even begin to express my disappointment in PvP right now. ESO was granted a surge of new players and treated them to a broken PvP and Crown Crates.

These crates may on their own manage to scar ESO.

PC/EU is far from dead. Ocassionally disconnecting in zones like deshaan and craglorn during weekends. A lot of newer players, too.

Just like all online games there is a peak time and a slow time and everything else, PC when I play around 3pm eastern is kind of slow but by 6pm eastern time the PC is hopping.

Not dying from what I can see, yet.

I was on at that time 5pm EST (I'm assuming the NA server) a lot of the player base in this time zone is still getting home from work. Sure there are younger crowd kids still in school and such on at that time. But most of us are out of school and trying to adult, anyway it starts to pick up around 6pm (3pm) and starts peaking around 8 (5pm) and starts to drop off about 10(7pm)and by midnight (9pm) most of the EST players has lefted for the night. And by 4am my time server pop is at its ebb. I've been playing this game a long time at ALL hours of the day. It fairly easy to gauge the busy time by how many people are hanging around the capital cities. The zone they are in have a good mix of levels, newer players and the 561+ crowd. Belkarth is also a good indicator for what the vet player population is after they finish up the dailies they go there for end game. You can even get an idea of the PvP pop by looking at the PvP menu. Zone chat can help some in forming an opinion but can be deceiving, falsely implying more or less people are in a given zone. 15 out 20 people spamming chat LFG for a WB, could look like a lot of people and your not in town or paying attention to chat but just see it flashing up. While a question being asked like a price check between 2 people could conceal 25 people.
