Frostcaster style - where to get Stalhrim?

The Frostcaster motif is coming at Crown Store during the december and it uses Stalhrim as its style material. Anyone know where to get (or where to get later when the style is out) Stalhrim in game?

I'm going to assume it's like Grim Harlequin, in which case you'll have to buy Crown Mimic Stones in order to craft it...

Actually, I had some items dropped in Grim Harlequin style when I was in Ruins of Mazzatun. You can probably deconsturct those for style mats? (Or atleast my add-on said it was Grim Harlequin style. Happened before the style was in Crown Store so can't remember what it looked like)

Sadly, Mazzatun style is unique, GH is not related to it.
I have guildie that bought it, crown mimic stones only...

If you decon Grim Harlequin crafted items you have a chance of getting Grinstone........

I presume Stalhrim will be the same. :)

You can decon items to get them, yeah, but to get them to begin with I'm fairly sure you need Crown Mimic stones as they are Crown Store exclusive motifs. No items in the game are dropped with the Crown Store exclusive styles, hence why they are exclusive and why people QQ it's P2W.

If someone crafts grim harlequin using a mimic stone and then it gets deconstructed, it does have a chance of giving the in-game style mat.

But yeah your best realistic chance of crafting any of the crown exclusive motifs is with mimic stones.

Is it going to be similar to the Halloween festival? I enjoyed running around killing world bosses for plunder skulls. Gave us a reason to go back to them. Would be cool to have a quest line attached to it also.

Meh.. that kind of ruins the motif for me :disappointed: Thought it looked so cool but not gonna buy mimic stones every time I craft a new armor.

Wasn't Stalhrim a style apart of the Dragonborn dlc in Skyrim? The nodes were farmed in ancient Nordic ruins so they might do that in this game too. This might be hint to the next dlc also. Solstheim!

It was a bug and have been changed to something else (can't remember the style though)

Kothringi is the proper name of those sets that shoved up as Grim Harlequin for some time:

I tried out all the quests on the PTS, there's only 1 where you have to fish (and you can put the special festival fish in your bank for other characters to use, I think they are also tradeable), other quests involve throwing mudballs at various NPCs, and a race on foot - it's all that kind of thing. Very much solo-oriented, and no boss grinding this time (thank goodness, I never wanted to see another Dolmen after the witches festival!)

No, it is very different. Once a day per character, you can do a series of nine quests - one for each playable race except for Imperials - that explore the cultural celebrations of the New Life Festival across Tamriel. You donate gold to orphans with the Altmer, throw mud balls at people with the Bosmer, dance on hot coal with the Dunmer, dive naked in freezing water with the Nord and so on. You get the loot bags as quest rewards.

I find it much better than the Witches' Day Festival.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Is that for definite? Solstheim is pretty close to vardenfel isn't it?

It would not be all that difficult to add it as a rare drop to Drauger. That is what they should do at least.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Still not confirmed by ZoS but a lot of info have been data mined and points towards Vvardenfell

I agree, I don't like the idea that you can only craft some styles with mimic stones - I'd much rather the style stones occasionally drop in game, perhaps from certain enemies.

I mean if someone asks me to craft grim harlequin for them, what am I going to do, charge them in IRL money to offset my own crown mimic stone cost? It's just not feasible (and may count as some sort of gold-selling activity).
