A summoner, Are you sure?

Hello, Yea ... a new thread by the new guy ... So i have been building my summoner sorcerer in (Eso PvE Play) I have Summons (Pets) i can see them and toggle there abilities. while they are useful (sometimes) i just don't feel like a summoner i feel like I'm chasing a dream in a fantasy (I know that's messed up) and i really hope Zeni does something to make the summoner feel more like a summoner. because I'm stubborn and want to play a summoner So So So badly i won't switch, i want it so bad that i will keep using the Unstable Familiar & Summon Winged Twilight i won't change. But guys come on! If your only going to give us 2 Summons please make them awesome ... Not Op ... just better ...(More useful) ... in every rpg i play, i play the roll of the summoner that is just who i am and in Eso you have summons ... but it doesn't ... feel right ...you don't get that minion master feeling ... my fellow summoners you know what I'm talking about.

There is so many better options and i know balance and screen clutter are important things ... would i want to join a trial with a character that can summon 8 Skeletons/3 Atronachs/2 daedra (NO)
the game can barely run a trial with 12 players in it ... sometimes i feel bad being a summoner because i know I'm making things even worse for my Friends/Team Mates but i want to be a summoner and they say they are cool with it...(Let's hope that's true) I have so many ideas ... (To many ideas) but in the end i don't make the game world i just play in it.

Please...give us that Master Of Minions feeling. I know you guys can do it, and i know I'm not the only one who want's this.

    you should put your ideas down everyone knows the conjuration skill lines back and it need a rework and with cp the way it is pets don't get affected by cp either.

    Thelon your build is good and i do like, but come on bro, you and i both know that this does not make you feel like a Master of Minions like a true Summoner ... (One example) ... Now i don't like Neverwinter i only played it for about a month before i quit ... but that game ... let's you summon 1 (One) minion and damn, i feel like a summoner master Bad A** If only i liked the rest of game ... o well.

    I like Eso alot and i know they can make summons/conjuring great. I hope you they rework conjuring.

    Ya they could do more for sure. The monster sets that proc pets have always been underwhelming, as is the Storm Atronach. Their toggle status kills build flexibility, and ESO lacks a 'necromancy' type skill line that makes summoners so much fun in other games.

    Yea a monster set that works with the pets would be nice ... but i feel like the skill need a rework but if i was to do a monster for pets it would be something like this.

    Your Pet consume the souls of your falling foes gaining strength. For each enemy soul that is consumed your pets gain 5% more health/defense/damage. With each soul consumed your Pet's Grow in Size! Maxing at 10 stacks. (If your pet dies they lose all there stacks)

    When ever you activate your Pet's active ability you have 10% to become charged from there energy making all your spells 2% more powerful for 8 seconds. you gain more a bigger damage bonus the more stacks your pets have. (Damage bonus maxes out at 20%)

    Hello, The new guy again.

    In all honest that monster set i posted would not be good ... it would be glossing over the problem with a quick fix and in the end i know it wouldn't give us summoners that feeling that i know i am looking for in Eso.

    The real problem is the Daedric Summoning skill tree i have so many ideas to fix it ... but them ideas mean nothing and we know it.


    Getting back to the point. In all honest only zeni can really fix summoning ... i didn't post this thread to give my ideas i post this thread because i want zeni to see that summoning is just not right, i posted this to get my fellow summoners to also voice there opinions maybe so can inspire Zeni to change, to tell them that we know they can do better for us and they are better then what they have presented to us.

    We know they are better then this ... and deep down inside they know to ... let's do more then just remind them guys let's help them take action. We can do it!

    ...Wow did you read what i just posted ... i sound like a damn ad campaign but i can't help it, i really like Eso it's my down time hobby my free time play mode and i want to see it be better for us.

    I want Balance and That feeling of a minion master bad a** ... it's hard to explain it's a feeling that other games/mmo's give summoners that eso just simple doesn't. Op is not what i am after, i am after my play style ... and i know i'm not the only one after this.

    Everyone out there that makes a Pet build and try to run Summons know this.

    Have you ever tried fighting boss mobs solo with your Clannfear?

    Having him take aggro and watch him absorb ridiculous amounts of damage while you just stand there and leisurely pummel the boss feels very much like cheating.

    What you just post is true and sadly boring ... wouldn't it be nice to have pets that we interacted with more, wouldn't it be nice if your pet just couldn't do that normally? Wouldn't it be nice to interact with you pets but you acting with them in a certain way made them stronger so they can do that ... make the summoner work for powerful pets that also interact with you as well.

    I love my pet sorc. The clanfear has a habit of lurking protectively over my fox, and when I'm wearing the Maw of the Infernal helm, it procs enough to know that RNGjesus has blessed my sorc.
    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    I am glad you are enjoying your build. If this makes you feel like a Master of Minions, Like you are one with a Powerful Force that is under your control, Like bring on the army because i know my army is better, Like together when i combo with you and you give me your aid we are a great team ... Than more power to you, man i wish i had them feels ... i wish them feels where real for me ... but in honest Eso has never gave me them summoner feelings.

    I have no problem with proc (Ahh Don't Hit Me!) but i feel like somethings just shouldn't be procs ... like a pet for 15 seconds ... i have no problem with sets that help pets and make them better ... But Please make them good.

    i love pets in MMO's that is the reason i play a magic sorcerer. They pet functionality and utility is 100 times better than it used to be. But I'd like to have more for sure. If they just made it so that they don't desummon if you have them on one bar and then swap bars then that would fix a lot of the problems. Now it takes 4 out of your 10 slots to use both pets. :(

    Hello, Yea them taking up 4 bar slots really is not great, but i also want the summoner to interact more with his minions.

    Here is a example with Unstable Familiar & Summon Twilight Matriarch

    Your Unstable Familiar only has 8k health
    Your Twilight Matriarch only has 6k health

    While you have a summoned pet active your Light Attack give your summons 1 charge and your heavy attack gives 3 charges to your pets. Each charge increases your pets max health.

    When your pets are at max charges you can then activate there special ability.

    At max charges your Pets have the following health:
    Your Unstable Familiar only has 28k health.
    Your Twilight Matriarch only has 15k health.

    Your Pets new special abilities are:
    For 15 second your Unstable Familiar will give you 450 health and magicka regeneration.

    Your Unstable Familiar unleashes the stored charges held within him for 15 seconds boosting his Physical Damage by 100%. He will rush at enemies that attack you knocking all enemies down in his path and randomly will exhale a flaming blast, dealing Flame Damage to all enemies in front of him.

    For 15 seconds your Your Twilight Matriarch will cast a healing aura around her self, while this aura is active she will stay near the Summoner. The Aura heals for 300 health every 0.5 seconds within 40 meters of Your Twilight Matriarch.

    Your Twilight Matriarch unleashes the stored charges held within her for 15 seconds boosting her Shock Damage by 100%.
    Your Twilight Matriarch calls down bolts of lighting dealing Shock Damage. If your health drops below 50% she will heal you for 12k health, She can only do this once every 15 seconds.

    After the 15 seconds are up your pets lose all charges and all bonuses.

    This way you have to work to build your pets up and you can;t just spam there special abilities, you have to earn there power ... it's not given to you.

    well im sorry you don't feel like much of a summoner. you are going to have to wait a couple of years before zos implements the spell crafting system. then there will be many options for summons. im not a fan of the clanfear and tormentor morphs, but the others are good. and i agree with op that the storm atronach is needing a buff badly.

    also they need a summon proc set that scales with the elemental tree. having the maw of the inferanl and shadowrend set scale with the mighty cp tree sux.

    Clannfear, Twilight, Storm Atronach, you have three pets. Morkuldin set, you summon animated swords. Maw of Inferno set, you summon a daedroth. 5 is the most you can get right now, i think.

    i feel yeah. i would love a dremora lord summon, but i guarantee you that it will scale with physical damage instead.

    More Summons would not be bad but i really want them to improve the summons we already have in the game. You know how when you summon a pet your pet gets a ability that you can use like a skill ... well i think it would be neat if your pet gave you a skill bar so you summon a pet and then active them to get another skill bar ... this gives your pets there own skills that can you use and you would be able to switch between your skills and your pets skills ... i don't know ... something to make them.
