Cannot login unless I go through steam

I used to be able to login through the launcher but now I am forced to login through steam. Steam does not always work. Steam has a twitchy client. I would rather be able to sign in through the launcher because it is better. I have only been on this game though steam for 60 hours and I have played more than that but that is how much I have used steam. I have already had issues with logging through steam. Please allow me to use the launcher. I didn't want to link my account and be forced through steam. I wanted to use ESO launcher. Please fix this. It creates more issues which you cannot resolve because they are on steam's side.
