3 Piece Willpower or 3 Piece Aether for vMA Magplar?

Which is these is BiS for a Magicka Templar

I run a combination of two from TBS, Julianos, Skoria, Grothdarr in vMA but which 3 piece is better now that Minor Slayer has been fixed?

It feels like Aether is better but I just aren't sure.

I feel Julianos, Grothdarr Aether is the strongest DPS but would love to be corrected by Maths or redirected to a similar thread I tried looking but my original version of this post went into Crafting for some reason.

In xbox, the IA has glitch. So, I use willpower. However, I heard they have fixed it in PC. So, you can try IA if you play PC.

Minor Slayer does not buff the execute damage from Radiant Destruction.

I guess it all depends on how much you're going to rely on your jesus beam.

To be clear, I've not tested this.

The bug with Radiant Destruction not fully benefitting from Minor Slayer is something people have told me multiple times though.

Its OP enough as it is! If they fix that then IA all the way.

Passives impacted by SP too, so wisdom might be slightly better with a high SP build.

It does buff it, but not the full 5%. Its like 4.X%.

@CraftMaster I'd say use Aether. On a NB the execute also scales poorly, but the damage increase is really significant when swapping willpower for aether.

Definitely use Grothdarr, Julianos and Aether. There was a thread about this stuff, but I forget what its called.

BTW how are the trials going? Haven't been online forever.

WP imo the 1400 more magicka is really good let alone the 186 spell damage.


Several players just get bored of old sets and want newer ones but some of the old ones are still the best

Willpowr is better than IA or Moon for Templars as Sweeps gets a 140% increase on the 1st mob and radiant up to 300% i think. And those boni are additive so the 5% of Slayer arent 5% at all but instead your damage will be buffed by 145% and 305% which then comes to about 1% or less damage increase.
So go WP if you only use the 3 piece. If you have 1 or 2 open slots if you go WP then IA is better if you can have it in 4 or 5pc.

Been playing watchdogs Izaki ESO Rip. Did get 555k with 2 deaths though Julianos grothdarr aether gives 17.2k health ran it once literally can't put a single buff on wrong or you deeeeeead.

Given up on trials too much like hard work finding a reliable group who care enough.
