Sorc's and the Trinimac's Valor set question

Im not sure if this question has been asked, but i would like to know If you apply a shield on your sorc's pet like on your Familiar or Winged Twilight any morph would the 5th item bones on Triminamac's Valor set the one that "When you cast a dmg shield on an ally you have a 20% chance to call down a Fragment of trinimac that heals you and your allys..." would proc? in other words would that proc when applying a shield on your sorc's pet?

I use it for my VMA sorc pet build sometimes

basically Trinimacs/Lich/Infernal Guardian.

Yes, but it looks like Trini proc counts only once on cast (i.g. if you use DK shield on group you still have only 20% proc on cast). I used Trini on my DK heal but then droped 5 item bonus for Infernal guardian.

Before T1 my testing showed 20% per pet, however that definitely seems like something that has been changed. I also run it in PvE, my build is the bolded link in my signature
