I've been dabbling in a lot of the cookie-cutter builds but not really been finding them fun to play, so I sat down and went over what I wanted to play and worked out a build that I think will be fun even if it isn't something that'll ever top any charts. However I'm nowhere near experienced enough with this game to know if I've included the right skills, whether some don't work as intended or others might fill the role better.
I love Khajiit, so plumped for that as a race. I know it probably isn't the best for stamina builds, but it's got some nice stealth elements and recovery as well as extra weapon critical.
I also went for Sorcerer as I like the class and it has some nice effects. 2 Handed as well as I'm kind of hoping (at least at endgame) there'll be some really nice looking 2 handed weapons.
So, the build I'm aiming for on paper (as I'm only level 7 at the moment) is:
Slot 1: Critical Rush (2H) - The thought being that it's a gap closer with some extra damage depending on distance travelled.
Slot 2: Dizzying Swing (2H) / Hurricane (SC) - Either a big attack with a stun or an aoe attack with Major Resolve, Major Ward and Minor Expedition effects
Slot 3: Executioner (2H) / Carve (2H) - Either a finisher or a sweeping attack that builds Ultimate
Slot 4: Bound Armaments (DS) - Grants Minor Resolve (does that stack with Major Resolve?), +11% damage on heavy attacks and increases max stamina by 5%
Slot 5: Critical Surge (SC) - Major Brutality and it gives me health back on a critical hit.
Ultimate: Onslaught (2H) / Shooting Star (MG) - Big finisher (bigger than Executioner?) or AoE ultimate
I'm sure this is n00b level theorycrafting, but it seems to use a good spread of skills across 2H and Sorcerer.
Is there anything I may have overlooked or not considered perhaps? I'm not looking to be a powerhouse in PvE but hopefully I will be able to hold my own. Not sure about PvP as I've never tried it, but I'm guessing that'll also be for much later levels. As I'm low level right now I'm mostly solo, but I will want to do some dungeons once my build starts picking the skills up I'm looking for.
I have thought about splitting the two bars out to cover single-target vs multi-target once I hit 15.
I'd welcome some thoughts from more experienced players.
