Should searching for specific items from guild stores should be made easier for consollers?

I only put in consollers because I'm assuming there has to be endless possibilities for the PC race

I'm trying to find vicious death things from guild traders as I like to go through prices than "Haggle", I'm finding it it inconvenient, browsing through pages and repeat the process with like 15 guild traders just to see what other traits and prices are being offered.

My suggestion:

Have a universal guild trader who does searches you can type in (For example if I put in the words , "transmutation" or "thunderbug") and then shows you which guild traders offers which item with said name for how much and where , and you either have to travel there and do whatever.

Or maybe I'm missing how you guys normally buy what you want

Searchable traders or traders need to be linked, takes way too long to go around all the traders without search :(

Yes this, I was only worried about the shark bait system that I'm not for. But I couldn't think of other solutions to prevent this

I never understood why there's such an ugly and messy interface for guild traders. Just give us a simple text box, storing the last 20-30 searches. We actually know what we're looking for, why have us scroll through page after page full of stuff we didn't ask for?
There are 500 members x 30 items = 15000 items max on a single trader - not much for modern database systems..

Oh, and you're really really welcome to use the whole screen!
We (on console) would really appreciate to..
    - see more than 3 items at once
    - have item names in one(!) line, so item descriptions appear at the same spot for every item

Someone should start a website and run a harmless.bot around checking vendors until they implement something.

Yes its ridiculuous the amount of crap you need to troll through to get what you want.

Also agree and advocate a text box search that stores last few searches.

I seriously don't know how people live without it. It cuts off so much time when searching for a specific item from every guild store, and the fact that it saves your search between traders, omg

I only game across Awesome guild store about a week ago and by god it helps, I put in what I want and auto search, if its not there I move on to the next trader and so on, saves a lot of time going through a set list of items

I think we better be careful not to make the console players jealous

Not sure of the autosearch, it never seems to work for me. I still end up manually looking it up. Seems to depend on the item & how many other items of the same type are listed in that category.

I don't want a global auction house, like many people, however due to the huge number of guild traders in the game, there has to be a better method for finding items that are listed.

I have an idea I've not really discussed with anyone but think it's a stepping stone to a better system than we've currently got which would encourage more people to use the guild traders and also act as a gold sink.

What I'd like to see is some form of search system via an NPC where you could 'ask' them to search for items for you; for a cost and that cost would increase the more specific your request.

    For example,
The price would increase the more zones you search (you can search in just deshaan, or just EP territories, or all tamriel)
Higher quality item search would cost more gold

The results you get wouldn't allow you to purchase the item either, the NPC would only give you a generic location, something like "Yes, I heard a man saying that was for sale in Grathwood" or if you pay more gold, you could get more accurate info "Check out Mournhold, you'll find what you're looking for". I wouldnt even return the cost of the item for sale.

This wouldnt be lore breaking and would act as a gold sink that ZOS can use to control the economy by increasing / decreasing the cost for searches using lore friendly methods. "There's bandits on the road, it'll cost you something extra for my time" or "The local Guards have really stepped up their protection lately. I'll knock off some of the cost for you this time."

I hate the idea of a global auction house but would prefer some way to search the market for an item I want, even if it's cost me in game gold to do so.
