How do you earn Skill points at Champion Level

Currently 561 but you can go past that just want be able to use the points

Yeah, but you don't get skill points for CP levels beyond 160. I wish. I have 700 CP.


Well, in fairness, I think my original character has absolutely everything in any skill tree she's interested in having, from class skills to weapons to guild skills to Soul magic to Dark Brotherhood, Thieve's Guild, Legerdemain and maxed all crafting.


There are the Group Events in public dungeons that each give a skill point.

Quests in Group Dungeons give skill points.

The main quests in each zone give skill points but there's no in-game way to tell which quests will do so or where to find them.

Alliance Ranks give skill points. My original character is a Major which I think is AR 22? Something like that.

There's the Discourse Amaranthine which gives 2 skill points if you *spoiler*

Course, the DLCs skill points are a little different than the old normal zones.

The other posters have listed how you can acquire skill points, but there are a finite number of them available in the game. You do not get them for leveling CP. So, once you have done all that is suggested above, you will have all there is to get until they add more.

There are so many skill points available, there is absolutely no concern of running out of them.

Complete any of the following to gain a skill point:

• Main Story Quests
• Faction Story Quests
• Guild (Mage's and Fighter's) Story Quests
• Public Dungeon Group Events
• Four-Man Dungeons
• Trials
• Collect 3 Skyshards
• Promoted in Alliance War

You don't get any skill points for CPs.

You don't get skill points from Mages Guild or Fighters Guild quests (except the optional final reward from MG), or from Trials.

I got a bunch when I finally decided to start doing PVE by completing group dungeons for the first time. There's heaps to be found there.
You also gain skill points for ranking up in PVP, though that becomes extremely slow obviously. I have so many skill points now it's possible to max out my crafting, 3 entire weapon skill lines, alliance skill lines, class skill lines and still have points left over.

Cryptical

So, pvp-only people can get a total of about 64 + 50 alliance rank + 16 pvp sky shards = 130 skill points.

With a total of about 368, that means pve-only people can get a total of about 302.

Enslaved

PvP oriented ppl ain't mentally challenged, sure you will go and grab shards from any area you can.

Well, it's not as though many people will ever get 50 alliance ranks. Let alone on 12 characters.
