As an xbox player, I wouldn't recommend using dungeon finder. Try to find a good guild instead and run with those people. The number one problem with dungeon finder on xbox is that it used to take 1+ hours to queue as a DPS and as a result, DPS is now queuing as a healer or tank. From my limited use of dungeon finder recently, there is almost no chance of actually getting a healer or tank who is actually what their role says they are. Basically, you've got to slot self heals and mobility skills to avoid getting hit and DPS while you avoid taking damage.
And yes, there are a ton of really bad DPS players on xbox. There are some really competitive ones as well, but there are a lot of causal players who run terrible hybrid setups. The game gives you options and people are doing that which is fine for 95% of the content, but it results in some very bad builds for difficult content.
You'll find on xbox that none of the good players bother using healers except in trials or dlc dungeons (except wgt)as they arent needed.
I find you have a grp of very very hardcore players and a grp of casuals with no real inbetween. Guilds are a big thing on xbox to

I run with PUGs all the time without many issues. I guess its just bad luck dude.
Personal experiences suck for trying to get a clear picture of a large population or data set.

Before 1T using group finder and even getting 1 or 2 bad players it would be rare for a group I got put in to fail a vet dungeon (apart from the dlc ones)
After 1T I find there's a lot less room to carry people.
I wonder if it has to do with the mindset of Xbox gamers...
When me and my guildmates needed a fourth for this Dungeon, our first tank after just two minutes tried to vote kick our DPS guildmate. Then after the next batch of Mobs he just left the group entirely. The next Tank we got stuck with us for a bit longer, but up and left again after the first Boss.
Really paints a bad picture on other players that do the Daily Pledges.
Hey guys recently moved back to Xbox after a four month stint on ps4 and I'm having huge problems with dungeon finder, I've tried about 8 dungeons and only finished two the healers seem unable to heal and DPS is very poor compare that to the 50+ done on ps4 there was at most 2 where we couldn't complete and healers were always doing there job.
Is that a common experience on the one or have I just been really unlucky?

That's incredible.... also, god forbid you mention anything about what YOU were doing, and instantly throw your group under the buss....
Thread level: EPIC!

so you got the good healer?
the ones i come across usually rely on the 'passive' heal from completing a heavy attack with their resto staff
i have actually been kicked from a group finder group (as a healer) for healing too much & not DPSing enough!

Now those 3 have been buffed back to the original place and thensome, and every other dungeon that isn't a "1" is seriously harder.
Maybe that's why suddenly the healers "suck" is because the adds have a ton more resistance, and health, and also do a ton more damage.
I play as a healer on my main (Xbox) I used to be able to carry noobs through every dungeon, except maybe the big 5. Now I can hardly carry anyone as their lack of dps and survivability shows through very quickly. I can stil keep groups up but they get one shotted endlessly. It's sad but true I can no longer use the finder unless I have 1-2 buddies I know can pull their weight.
So again maybe not the difference between Xbox and PS4, but rather the difference in one tamriel and before.
Thoughts?
Reading some replies it seems Xbox users have accepted people not doing correct role and thats the difference, on ps4 people got kicked for picking wrong roles so it meant it happened a lot less.
