Xbox players terrible or just bad luck

Hey guys recently moved back to Xbox after a four month stint on ps4 and I'm having huge problems with dungeon finder, I've tried about 8 dungeons and only finished two the healers seem unable to heal and DPS is very poor compare that to the 50+ done on ps4 there was at most 2 where we couldn't complete and healers were always doing there job.

Is that a common experience on the one or have I just been really unlucky?

Not gonna lie, group finder groups on Xbox are bad and even picking people up in area can be rough. Our healer yesterday would cast one healing springs then just stand there for 10s and repeat before dropping healing ult.

so you got the good healer?

the ones i come across usually rely on the 'passive' heal from completing a heavy attack with their resto staff

i have actually been kicked from a group finder group (as a healer) for healing too much & not DPSing enough!

That sucks, love my Xbox hence the reason I went back but ESO is night and day between the two systems, performance and average skill of player as well judging by what I've sampled so far, literally nobody heals on ps4 everyone healed its very frustrating.

As an xbox player, I wouldn't recommend using dungeon finder. Try to find a good guild instead and run with those people. The number one problem with dungeon finder on xbox is that it used to take 1+ hours to queue as a DPS and as a result, DPS is now queuing as a healer or tank. From my limited use of dungeon finder recently, there is almost no chance of actually getting a healer or tank who is actually what their role says they are. Basically, you've got to slot self heals and mobility skills to avoid getting hit and DPS while you avoid taking damage.

And yes, there are a ton of really bad DPS players on xbox. There are some really competitive ones as well, but there are a lot of causal players who run terrible hybrid setups. The game gives you options and people are doing that which is fine for 95% of the content, but it results in some very bad builds for difficult content.

I tank myself it was great on ps4 there was always a good healer that way even with bad DPS you could still complete dungeons they would only take longer also if someone wasn't correct role they would be kicked but Xbox I tried to kick "healer" with better heavy armour than me not healing and nobody agreed so I just left, quite gutted if it turns out to be the norm here the role aspect was one my fave things now it looks like it'll be every man for themselves.

You'll find on xbox that none of the good players bother using healers except in trials or dlc dungeons (except wgt)as they arent needed.

I find you have a grp of very very hardcore players and a grp of casuals with no real inbetween. Guilds are a big thing on xbox to

The only two I completed were with healer and people doing roles, the others have been diabolical being overrun by trash mobs at the start that I have never ever had issues with, from now on if I try it'll be with a few heals of my own instead of only the one emergency healing skill that your lucky if I had to use 10 times on 50+ runs on ps4.

    Its random

I've lately had really good groups. Prob kicked a few that when we joined were afk for over 3 minutes of waiting and doing ready checks but since Thursday, I've had really good groups for the weekend.

Its a hit or miss and I can't say its a platform specific BUT do consider what games are releasing for each platform and what free play is going on as this weekend was full of some good games so perhaps you had more negative than positive but free weekend is coming .....

    hit or miss

This. Ran today's dailies on hard mode with 4 dps. Probably the easiest run through the dailies I've had, actually. No wipes, and I think only 3 deaths through all 3 dungeons.

Depending on when you stopped playing on PS4 and when you started again on Xbone the 1T update could be a factor as the dungeons were buffed.

Before 1T using group finder and even getting 1 or 2 bad players it would be rare for a group I got put in to fail a vet dungeon (apart from the dlc ones)

After 1T I find there's a lot less room to carry people.

I wonder if it has to do with the mindset of Xbox gamers...

When me and my guildmates needed a fourth for this Dungeon, our first tank after just two minutes tried to vote kick our DPS guildmate. Then after the next batch of Mobs he just left the group entirely. The next Tank we got stuck with us for a bit longer, but up and left again after the first Boss.

Really paints a bad picture on other players that do the Daily Pledges.

In white gold tower one day I wasn't running around pugs these guys do trails and stuff. I told them great fing DPS and they told me great tanking but my tank can be DPS so I run dual wield and I just taunt put dots with bloodthirst and then repeat. And then I was DPS on cradle of shadows on that character as well took 3 tries but finished it. The players mostly didn't reach max cp including the healer pretty low cp so.

Agreed. ZOS made a large increase to vet dungeon difficulty with One Tamriel. It's much, much harder to carry bad players through vet dungeons. Fortunately, normal dungeons are super easy, so really bad players can always do normals. But players want to do Vet versions to get helm drops, and most of the time bad players don't realize they are bad so they keep doing Vets.

I can DPS with my tank if our DPS lacks and if it lacks where it's close to my DPS then and they die too much then there is something wrong with someone.

I'm on xbox as well and I've constantly ran into the same problem with DPS queuing as tanks and healers, Zenimax needs to speed up dungeon-queues (I know they won't with their current rate of handling problems within the game). Just now I had a DPS in the Healer role use nothing but Healing Ward for heals! I have both a pure Tank and Healer and have them commit to their roles accordingly but lazy players don't do this and it's infuriating and frustrating to do any dungeons right now. I may find the good group with an actual Healer and/or Tank and the dungeon gets completed but it's a rare occurrence, a very rare occurrence and it's sad.

So out of 8 dungeons you can positively say that xbox players are worse than ps4?

That's incredible.... also, god forbid you mention anything about what YOU were doing, and instantly throw your group under the buss....

Another reason why I only PuG dungeons with my Magicka Templar....Oh we need a tank, no prob. Oh the healer sucks, no worries m8. Dang we need more dps, I got you... Just keep different setups in either your bank or on your character and have the gold to respec, or join a guild like suggested above. Or if you're up to it solo the dungeons! If you are having probs on vet, do normal mode....One key in 10-30 mins is way better then struggling for hours to get 2...

What's funny with this entire thread is no one is mentioning the increase in difficulty since one tamriel. Before every dungeon was a cake walk (except ruins and cradle) even prison, wgt and city of ash were nerfed into the ground.

Now those 3 have been buffed back to the original place and thensome, and every other dungeon that isn't a "1" is seriously harder.

Maybe that's why suddenly the healers "suck" is because the adds have a ton more resistance, and health, and also do a ton more damage.

I play as a healer on my main (Xbox) I used to be able to carry noobs through every dungeon, except maybe the big 5. Now I can hardly carry anyone as their lack of dps and survivability shows through very quickly. I can stil keep groups up but they get one shotted endlessly. It's sad but true I can no longer use the finder unless I have 1-2 buddies I know can pull their weight.

So again maybe not the difference between Xbox and PS4, but rather the difference in one tamriel and before.

    Thoughts?

Thoughts are that adjusting to all the nonsense that people complain about on this forum has helped my build and skill level. The game certainly has changed but way too many people spend too much energy complaining about monsters in the closet than looking in the mirror and adjusting what they do.

Not true....I'd suggest not to attempt to draw conclusions from threads.
It's a very small portion and 100% inaccurate but just a few opinions.

Pretty much only did dungeons since one tamriel so that's all I'm comparing in terms of build.
