Why did you remove Toxin Doctor and Treasure Hunter costumes?

I took a hiatus for a while, but saw my wife playing with the Toxin Doctor and Treasure Hunter costume. I came back to the game because I really wanted to purchase those two items. I know it sounds a bit ridiculous, but I was unbelievably disappointed to find out that they are no longer available and it really spoiled the excitement for me. Come on, guys... really? For what it's worth, I'll just move on. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I agree honestly. Pretty much same thing just happened to me. I saw these two awesome costumes. Priest of the Green, and the Dark Shaman costumes. Took forever to figure out their names. Then I look them up only to find out they are not in the game anymore? I honestly can't believe this. Why remove them? I really wanted those, willing to spend every crown for them. Not to mention these crown boxes. I was told they will offer things a bought a long time ago, but no these two costumes? Seriously guys? Seems pretty dumb. You could have made some money off me. You know, as opposed to no money.

I think they would make more if they didnt keep them as timed exclusives.

Don't despair! Soon you'll be able to gamble your money on Crown Crates for a small chance to win these and other retired Crown Store items. :|

I have long advocated for one weekend a year where all items that were on sale in the past are brought back. It would make them a ton of quick cash and player satisfaction would improve.
The problem with arguing with a jackass is that they never stop braying.

Just want to bump this awesome idea from @Mercutio because the Dark Shaman costume came and went when I was taking a break from the game and I want an outfit that shows off my characters body markings.

#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

Thank you @Jim_Pipp . I have everything I want but the black wolf mount. Honestly, it's not a huge issue of concern.

But what is happening is that the player base is being stratified. The old timers such as myself have lots of cool stuff no longer offered, and the new players can get bitter over that. I can understand why, as I am a huge cosmetics fan.

So something like this would help to level out the emerging castes of haves and have nots.

I missed out on the dapple horse which I would very much like to pick up, maybe the odd costume as well now that I can dye them to suit my characters' various colour schemes. There is no way on this Earth that I am spending on the gamble boxes for these items, either. Just a straight-up weekend sale would do me nicely.
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

    (Sigh)

I feel incredibly disheartened by this 'limited time' approach, and removing items from the Crown Store more generally. I've just built myself a new PC and retired the PS4 to more casual gaming. But two of my absolute favourite costumes - Priest of the Green and Soul Shriven - which adorned my characters on console were removed ages ago. Gone for good, it seems.

I raised this question in the 'Ask Us Anything' thread in the hope that someone somewhere would take note, but surely it must be more appealing for the player base as a whole if they were faced with a Crown Store crammed full of goodies, things to wear, pets to buy, mounts to drool over, etc. etc. than a limited selection of stock?

This. This I could cope with.

Toxin Doctor is terribly done anyway. It's a great example of a designer not understanding what they are making. A full body protective outfit because obviously a toxin doctor would be working with.... toxins. but they make the gloves fingerless?

Maybe they removed it to hide their shame.

Perhaps @ZOS_GinaBruno may have an answer?

(I really just want Toxin Doctor to have full gloves.)
