Crafting thought...

So yeah, I was wondering whilst chatting after a couple of pints with a mate, what the viability of this might be?

We have various motifs and sets in the game. Styles that are in there. Nothing that ZOS would add as a "paid for" costume.

I'd REALLY like to run a full HollowJack Costume on my Toon - but of course, this isn't viable, based on gear builds and DPS outputs - depending on the sets you run of course.

So I was wondering, what's the possibility of allowing Crafters to make a full set of gear, minimum at CP160 - then maybe a certain stone or item or fee, to allow them to convert this in to a sellable "Costume" item to players in game?

Benefits:
It would allow me to run the mish-mash set i do, but look good
Allow me as a player to dye it
Allow crafters to make money and generate a value to crafting again
Not detract from the cash-cow of Crown Store styles/costumes, as they are in game

Seems like a win win?

Just a thought - I'm sure there's good reasons why this hasn't been done....but general thoughts?

Would love to be able to build a look and use drop sets.

however that happens is a step in the right direction

because at the moment you have to
    buy a costume
loose stats by crafting your gear in your prefered choince (unless you are running certain set ups on certain builds)
    OR
look like the crazy cat lady out of the simpsons by proudly displaying your dropped gear

they of course want the majority of people to go with step 1 because that makes money for them

your idea is great for the in game economy, but that doesnt generate income so sadly cant see it being introduced

    @puffytheslayer

Not at all. The sets are already in the game. Nothing unique. If you want unique, go buy the Costume from the store.

The other option is the release all of these as a costume. But people will pay he cash for something special, not something that is already in game :)

i dont understant your response sorry

    i never mentioned unique

i simply pointed out that at the moment people running dropped gear have to either deal with it, wear a costume or polimorph reward from the game or they spend money in the crown store

your suggestion would help the in game economy specifically crafters

i do not see zos introducing a system that would boost the in game ecconmy which would effect their crown store sales

if the 'create a costume' token was only available through the crown store, then they would probablly consider it, but your suggestion as stands, would end up costing them money

so as much as i like the idea, personally i dont see it happening.
