Changes to build diversity and character progression

I think ESO would benefit from a Multiclass system like in GW1, Rift, EQ2 and other similar mmorpgs. ESO is a fun game but it has limits when it comes to building your character, so what ESO needs is more depth and more variety.

Why I think ESO would benefit from a secondary class system is because the end-game would be enhanced and let players be imaginative and playful and not so strict when it comes to specific builds. It would open up possibilities to combine different weapons, armors and skills that was not available before, and let more hybrid builds be welcomed.

I don't like the limitation of build diversity in ESO, that is the only thing that is annoying me, limiting me to use my imagination and creative mind to create something.

I remember in GW1 there were totally crazy builds like the 55HP monk which required a full team of 55HP monks to be nearly unstoppable if the team performed perfectly.

Think about it Zenimax.

And also: Remove damage types, it limits possible builds. Make everything into one damage type instead of magic and physical. It would open up build diversity even more.

You should also remove lvl 1-50, the current attribute system (stamina, health and magicka should be changed/removed) let players focus on leveling up skills, collecting the armor/weapons, food, potions and CP.

The champion point system should have more variety as well but the CP system is good. It should still be there as character progression.

Your game have and always had potential Zenimax. It can be the most unique and most amazing mmorpg. Sadly... You follow the typical mmorpg formula.

Yes to removing damage types, no to second classes.
    • Remove all classes - you no longer have a class, just a character who can slot skills from DK, Sorc etc etc
    • Make all skill lines available to every character

With the current number of skill points, and the two bar limit (I'd bring that down to one, but think it would be too much for some to handle) it would force you to be selective about your build, while simultaneously opening up the possibilities for variety.

Provided they balance to mitigate every min/max player moving to a single "flavour of the month" build, it would completely enrich the character building experience and allow you to build something far more unique.

I like that idea. No class, only a character with all skills available.

One skillbar would be too little. Two skillbars with weapon swap is good. The other things are good too.

both ideas are horrible. you need classes, you need variations in classes. you dont need advance classes because that is counter to elder scrolls way of doing business. most mmo's you dont even have the flexibility of a class like you do in eso. you dont have 4 classes that can all be a tank, all be a healer, all be a dps. yes they have variation of viability, but that is the point of classes, some do better at this aspect and not so well at others. the only real issue with this game is the animation cancelling. animation cancelling is 1. cheating because it circumvents well animations. 2. it is cheating because it removes the balance between choosing a instant cast ability vs a channeled ability. and to be honest i cannot understand with why zos would allow animation cancelling in the game yet they work sooo *** hard to prevent perma blocking. animation cancelling is 100x more game breaking (to any game) then capability of someone to block permanently.
