Crown..... gems??

is that they are called? or crown shards? idk
what are these and how do I earn them.
I've spent a small fortune on the crown store and only been playing 6 weeks

You will earn them by spending another small fortune.

Have you heard of crown crates? There have been one or maybe two conversations about them on the forums, but they never gathered much attention.

Soon you will be able to purchase crown crates for crowns and each one will have some random crown store items in them.

If the crate contains an item you have already collected, then instead of an item you will get a crown gem.

You can save up crown gems to (eventually) buy the items that are exclusive to the Crown crates (items that cannot be purchased directly with crowns).

Well since I own half the store already, seems like I'll be swimming in gems lol

Near as anyone can tell, a large-ish number of the things in the Crates will be new, so don't count on that.
