Do you know what would cause me to purchase more motifs via the crown store?

The ability to convert my armor into that style. Like seriously. Just let me look fabulous already. I was checking out the Thieves Guild motif in the featured pack, and quite frankly, the heavy set looks sick. I love it so much I was almost tempted to buy it, even though I wasn't interested in the DLC.
Then I realised I'd have undaunted shoulders, and hide helmet would be on because the monster sets are ugly. My weapons and armor is also non-crafted.. so like, what's the point?

Please, allow us to change styles of gear with mimic stones or something. I have 7.2k crowns just sitting there, and I would spend them all on mimic stones if you had a feature like that.

I'd like this option added for all motifs, not just the crown store versions.

Oh yeah, absolutely. I never meant for it to be just for crown store motifs. The Mimic Stones could convert all gear, as long as you know the style

Why mimic stones though? Why not standard crafting stones? I get that ZoS is more likely to do something if they can get some cash out of it, but mimic stones are one of the biggest rip offs in the store. I guess I'm just not a fan of pay-per-piece customization options. I'd prefer to be able to do it whenever I want without being nickel and dimed for it. Perhaps this is another one of those things that could be a built in perk for subscribers, but mimic stone use for non subs.

I honestly dont know why this isnt in the game yet. They obviously can do it since imperials can. It is such an easy obvious money maker for them.

Ok obviously it isnt as easy as all that, since they havent done it,but come on! Do it! Stop making half done personalities and get on this!

To be honest I don't mind how it's implemented. I just used mimic stones as an example because they're already in the game.

Personally I think access to a transmogrification system would be a perk master crafters can buy for a skill point or something like that... possibly available in several levels, like... first level allows to recraft to every style, second level allows to recraft to different level appereance too (lowbie breton light shoulders!)...

I mean, all they need to do is add one mopre function to the crafting stations, that cannot be so hard, now can ot? Let people reforge/resew/recarve their equipment into new styles, possibly with a destruction chance that can be migrated by just using more resources much like temper improvements...

How about a gold fee and a certain amount of style mats (style you want it to be) to make the change? Maybe even allow trait changes like that, but with trait stones?

I've given up collecting motifs for the most part. I cant use them since I have to hide my armor with a costume since I hate the look of most of it. If I could convert styles, yeah, in a heartbeat...

Agree to changing style, disagree to needing a per-use cost of mimics stones, or anything else. It should operate like all the other major cosmetic systems: high up-front cost, then free use thereafter. I don't want to be wasting mimic stones every time I want try on a new look any more than I want to rebuy a costume every time I change my mood.

I am so aggravated by the whole "I want to change it" thing.

    Deal. Pick. Make choices.

When I don't like "the look" of something, then I pick something else.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Some of us are not happy having to look like an abomination, dragged through someone's tasteless idea of what is aesthetically pleasing.
I want to look stunningly fashionable while commiting mass murder on an epic scale.
I want mobs to see me once, and drop dead because I'm just that gorgeous.

You'd think that they would have done this already. It's one of the reasons I've never bought a crown store motif. I am not recrafting fully golded gear just to apply a style.

I'd loooove to be able to change styles. It'd allow me to update my armor with fresh new motifs, without having to re-craft and re-gold every single piece. Not to mention bringing drop pieces into the style of my character.

I'd love not to have the need to craft a new set just for the look. However, i guess that should reduce the sales of crown costumes... tho most of them are horrible but whatever.

The motif grind is kinda ridiculous.

USPS4 they are ridiculously expensive, cost prohibitive unless you are rich, the drop rates on loud going back to Orsinium are ridiculously low.

The idea to put motifs in raids I can't get behind at all. Basically leaves players who want motifs with three choices join a trial guild or have enough end game friends to run trials, run scaled down content to farm motifs, or pay through the nose.

I wish they(ZoS) would say something about this like we are looking into it or we like this working on it or just no this is dumb and no way going to happen. We been asking for this for a long time, make motifs great again!

Can someone tag all ZoS employees for some word on this topic?

Funnily enough, you are playing a role playing game.

But, that said, I'm 100% for armor conversion or re-styling. We shouldn't have to pick between style and function, and us crafters are starting to feel a bit neglected with all the 1T drop sets and our pathetic handful of craftable sets.

Well, if they put unique motifs in those keeps but made it more like scrolls....not in every keep but in some keeps very occasionally....

And if guilds had home bases.....and by declaring one had to defend it or lose it...

And if a guild could capture a motif and keep it by taking it back to their base while everyone in Cyrodiil knew they were doing this.

And if they succeeded and it enabled everyone in that guild to change all of their armor to that motif style, which would be thereupon retired from the game for 90 days but could be worn forever by the guild who seized it...

    Could be interesting.

Oh, and RP players are not carebears. They just don't want to play the core game....most likely because they are more clever than Pavlov's dog. I see too much dog saliva here ;)

I thought the same. I farmed the entire Yokudan, Celestial, DB, TG, Minotaur, OOH, Abahs, Malacath and they all look pretty epic...esp Celestial helms....but the issue...who uses crafted shoulders? Now these motifs above I haven't learned yet...I'm wondering if it's even worth to sell them and a make a mint of carry on hoarding them in the hope we get this... make all these fancy new motifs with epic looking helms and weapons...and none of us use them except for grinding new toons.

this functionality already exists within the game as the "convert to imperial" option those of use with the imperial edition have, mind you it seems to work on less and less armors as of late, but still the capacity is there.

I would not even mine it requiring the style material to do as long as we could.

Yes, crafting your gear is not worth it anymore, too expensive in terms of materials, and the crafted sets are not as good as the dropped ones... it really sucks. Converting any gear into a style you learned from a motif would fix the problem.
