Guard Bug - Reviving yourself after PvP death

A few days ago i was playing around with Guard (support skill tree) in PvP when i encountered a, in my opinion, game breaking bug:
Under some circumstances you can revive yourself using a soulgem, when the killing blow came from the shared dmg of Guard.
This did not work every time, but i did not test it any further.
I died 3 times to Guard and could revive myself twice. So it does not work all the time and i guess certain circumstances have to apply in order for this to happen.
As far es i can remember siege fire was involved in both cases when i could revive and there haven't been any NPC Guards around what so ever, so the DMG did definitely come from a player.
