I just got suspended, what to do with my life?

Sooo, I just got suspended for 3 days for violating the rules of conduct when it comes to hate speech in the zone chat, even though it was part of a joke with several other players in the same chat.

But then again, it clearly says in the rules of conduct that offensive language towards others/people/groups is prohibited, under any circumstance, regardless of it being a joke and whatnot. So the suspension is justified.

Though it couldn't have come in a worse time period as I have my first 3 days off from work in a row since for 2 months, and was planning to level a few characters. So now I'm sitting here, thinking about what I should do for the next 3 days.

Ah well, *** happens, just wanted to vent a little and warn others:

Do not use any kind of offensive language against anyone, regardless of the circumstance, or you'll feel the suspension hammer slam down upon you!

P.S: I realize that this thread will spark comments such as:

"Suit yourself" , "Idiot" , "Don't use that kind of language" , "Hater" and whatnot, so let me just clarify:

- The offensive language I used was not directed to any kind of player.
- It was a comment about an artificial hatred towards Mexicans, love for Trump and the wall, in which I clearly said afterwards "just kidding, Trump is insane, nothing wrong with Mexicans".
- The other comment was a direct reference to one of Dave Chappelle's stand up performances in which I improvised a line involving an offensive word related to Asians, and then stated that it was from one of his stand ups.

This was enough to warrant a suspension. And guessing from what I've seen in the zone chats recently, I'm guessing that other people have been suspended for similar reasons.

Conclusively, I guess I was an idiot that should suit myself. Have any of you been suspended before?

Go outside, take a walk and rethink your actions. I got a warning for saying some inappropriate things in game back within the first few months.

They actually gave you a warning? The email I received that they have the right to immediately suspend/terminate an account if it violates the TOS and code of conduct. That was kind of them to give you a warning

Anyway, this taught me a lesson not to use any kind of profanity-filled language that can be regarded as even remotely offensive to anyone, ever again, in this game.

I guess it depends on the severity of the offense. From what I read your comments were a lot more severe than what I had said back then so I can see why you got a suspension without warning.

you lucky to got suspended for only 3 days..i just came home, saw mail in exact 23:59 "Membership Cancellation Successfull" tried login in game/site and got "Account suspended" and i don't know da hell happened and what to do now..

Ah man it sucks. I seen plenty of offensive chat in text. Unfortunately we live in a politically correct world where you can't say anything without offending someone. The state of things in this country are pretty bad. Kids can't handle things and need safe spaces, consolation and counseling for an election that didn't go the way they wanted. Truth be told they have been coddled to the point where they actally belive they are that special snowfalke.

Hate speech just isn't funny. Perhaps it is just a joke but its just wrong. There are people who are scared at the moment in the USA. With good reason, in my opinion. Aside from that, I've never been suspended from a game but I have gone as far as being banned on a forum before. Its funny how I can be so opinionated about a subject to get suspended or banned that I don't bother with today. But next time, resist the urge to marginalize anyone ever as a joke. Because its seriously not funny to someone scared by the world around them in the USA in 2016. I pray those folks will end up having nothing to be scared of but news reports show differently.

In the future you should be more circumspect, like advocating building a moat around Morrowind to keep those filthy Dunmer and their false gods away from the rest of Tamriel.

Also, it is a F2P weekend, you can always fire up a new account and see how life is as a noob again.

If you wouldn't say it to someones face, don't say it online. Simple as that. I'm happy ESO protects it's player base from harassment, slander and hate speech. There's enough cyber bullying on facebook and youtube as is. We are all adults after all.
