Basically, get Brutal on the Traits.

If it ain't Sharpened or Precise on a Weapon, decon it (Well, Powered on a Resto Staff or Healer Set Weapon is OK)

If it's not Divines or Impenetrable on the Small Gear, decon it.
Add in Infused to the mix for the 4 Large Pieces (so Infused, Divines or Impenetrable).
Unless it's tanking gear and it's the Sturdy Trait on probably the smaller pieces, and then Infused on the larger ones. Unless your a PvP Type Tank, then you want all Impenetrable.

The only caveat is, if your chasing a set you really want, then keep whatever traits you have, replacing the bad ones as you go along.

One rule you can use if it's a stam set any staffs are trash magicak set greatsword maul and batttleaxe are trash. Helm and shoulders are low demand with monster sets being easy to get now.

Wow. This is exactly what I spent last Sunday doing... except I also kept sturdy on any heavy pieces.

No idea about PC, but you can easily still sell all the undesirable pieces for around 500-800g. I have so much blue and purple crafting solvent, threads etc that it's better to just sell 'em.

I just listed a few off trait items from good sets cheap this morning, remains to be seen if they sell or not.

I used to stockpile all of these bloody things. But then I decided they are pretty much ALL trash. The pointless traits that drop, the mix and match look of the pieces, the fact it starts to make my character a product of RNG not my design.

So this weekend I deconstructed every proc set and monster set I had. It was very cathartic, like cleaning out the garage after 10 years!

I have started to go this route. If I'll never use the set in PVP, I only keep divines. If it's a large piece and I don't have a single piece of it, I'll keep one infused until I get a divines piece. Certain sets I'll keep divines and impen. But nothing else.

Taking this at face value for a second, and assuming it wasn't sarcasm: Prosperous isn't really that good unless you're specifically farming. Most of the time, the modifier for full purple Prosperous gear will only net you an extra gold or two on a kill at most. Now, if you're going to spend a couple hours farming, that does add up, but for normal play, or if you don't just sit there farming mobs, it's not worth it. Even so, it honestly might not be worth the time and expense to collect this stuff.

If it also affected item drop tables, it might be more useful for farmers, but as is, this trait has a very narrow use, and even then, it's debatable at best.

Like my SPC that I have been trying to get since IC launch. I have a set but still don't have it in divines or infused !!!! Yep I still have a piece in sturdy and well-fitted. RIDICULOUS. Like I said before, if one thing makes me quit this game it will be the RNG and the stubbornness of developers to fix it.

I farmed a couple of dungeons a few weeks back, I kept all the armor/weap with all traits listed above. Then later dis-guarded ones I knew I was never gonna use. I was sitting on a mountain pile of gear though. Still kinda am accessory wise. It's nice to be able to do that, throw it all on a mule then cherry pick what you want later.

I hate it. I cannot stand games where you stockpile gear and get into an endless inventory mini game. There is nothing more frustrating and it makes me not want to play the game. There are better solutions to gear and one them should be implemented.

Personally, I would like to be able to craft a gear piece once you get a drop for it. You would get that set/weight/trait added to your crafting when you decon it. That way it can stay BoP, you can decon it for mats to clear out your inventory, but also craft it later for mat cost. This would keep your inventory clean and reduce the ridiculous amount of farming to get the piece you want then have to horde it forever.

Oh yeah, I definitely see what you're saying. I'd love to see a closet feature where I can tuck items away for later. With this latest update, we desperately need a endless closet space. I had one of those in Skyrim. I had my house and a designated drop off bin where I just dumped allllllllll my dragon bones into one drawer.

I just prayed every time I wouldn't forget where I dropped off all my stuffs at.
