Nah, it's not worth my time to go and search guild traders for intricate items. I'd rather waste less time doing stuff like that, spend more time playing, and have it take slightly longer to level crafting skills.MarkusLiberty wrote: »The ornated items sell for about 150-200 gold, which is around the price most people list weapons and armor with the Intricate trait im guild stores.
So no, deconstructing ornated gear is not a good idea at all, as you can purchase intricate items for the same value and get at least three times the inspiration gain.

The point is that an ornate item gives you more options than straight-up gold does.
When you get them you're right in a city with vendors right there... If you need to sell them to clean out your pack, it takes 2 seconds to do so.WhiteCoatSyndrome wrote: »You can also mark them all as junk while they're still in the 'new item' mode that floats them to the top.

They also take up considerably more space in the pack. I'm with the OP; the constant selling to clear my pack out again is so tedious I've taken to only opening the reward coffers once a week so I can get fifteen or so done at once and not bother until the next week. It's tedious.

There are only 5 possible quest gold rewards, which are also tied into the quest's difficulty and XP reward, so changing the gold value would not be trivial. Unless of course they just put more gold in the Merits box.So how about just getting 350-800 gold from it instead of ornate stuff?
