What exactly will the Balancing Update entail?

    Well frankly lately I'd put up with an unbalanced game if it ran ok at this point

    People whining about blocking mitigation, your out of your mind. Clearly you are not playing a proper tank vs top tier group PvP, because the only way you can keep a tank alive anymore since the update (Non-sun shield anyway ) is to spam the sword and shield ultimate. Defense isn't near what it used to be against these new sets where every attack comes with a proc a two. I am referring to the front line, support class, skill bar designated actual tank. (Not the heavy armor DPS, the healer off in the corner that is hard to kill, or any of the other styles of play that are incorrectly called tanking)

    They promised to look into a few balance issues between magicka and stamina. They also listed a few fixes to magicka DK that they're looking into (like dragon blood).

    The problem is, on the scale of ZOS changes from 1 being a 'minor skill tweak' and 10 being a 'whole class revamp'. We are probably looking at a 2 or a 3. Tops. The forum expectation is an 11 or 12.

    It is turning into another 'smart loot'. They say a couple sets will drop a little smarter and it gets turned into they promised smart loot and this isnt working at all!

    They say they will look at a couple things and now update 13 is a full fledged balance patch with complete system overhauls.

    I believe the game will change a lot (again) after this next update... The same way PvP changed a lot in the last couple of updates (for the worse, in my opinion).

    I'd bet we will surely have nerfs for:
    • Radiant Oppression range
    • Proc sets cooldowns / global cooldown / stacking procs on each other
    • Destro ulti damage and/or telegraph and/or cost
    • Heavy Armor in general and Black Rose specially
    • Some sort of improvement to CC immunity to avoid perpetual CC locking someone.

    It'd be nice to have some overhaul of the traits system as well, to have more useful ones, but I don't know if we are going to get them right in this update.

    In general, I just hope for a little bit more variety on viable builds and a need for a little more skill to kill a player instead of relying on just procs to kill them before they can even react.

    I wished they just left it alone and focussed on making sure that what we have now actually works properly. I still have trouble with bar swapping being unresponsive in things like vma where i really need all the help i can get lol.

    My main is a magsorc and i do feel theres a gap between stam and mag sometimes but i'm ok with that.

    Really not looking forward to another *** of major changes with all the unexpected bugs and random *** that comes with it. I know i know miss negative :)

    I posted on a few threads already that I would gladly trade one update cycle just for stability fixes game wide.

    I still crash a few times a day while in Wayrest, basically crash hourly in Cyrodiil. Some dungeons the weapon swap takes a good 1 second to happen, to the point where I'm afraid to switch from my healing bar for fear that it will take to long to go back there.

    I wouldn't mind at all no new content for 3 months if those things were definitely solved.

    What's 5 seconds of shield stacking do? Shields are almost a waste of resources now.

    Agreed. Reducing the duration was a huge mistake on their part - especially when you consider that offensive buffs are still in the 20-30 second duration range.

    Shield stacking, especially when done by light armor wearers, became a thing when they over-nerfed the physical mitigation of light armor relative to heavy. Then when players figured out the shield meta to compensate for that, they nerfed the duration of shields when, if anything, they should have nerfed their effectiveness not their duration. The end result? Everyone in PVP now wears heavy.

    What they should really do now is add buffs to damage shield effectiveness/duration based on how many pieces of light armor you're wearing, for example: give them a base of 10 seconds with no light armor equipped and add 3 seconds to it per piece of light armor which would bring it up to 31 seconds for 7 pieces.

    I expect...

    Shields have been modified with a mine attachment.
    Now anyone that hits it gets blown to smitherines.

    ..or something along those lines.

    Frankly I am terrified of what comes next.
    lmao.
    But I can guarantee it will be little to do with fixing the core mechanics...judging by every other patch.

    Black Rosee really isn't a problem imo. A lot of the reason for the rise of popularity in heavy is just because it's the only way to survive proc set cheese burst.

    I would like to see damage changed to match the skill in the weapon skill used, plus level of weapon, modified by weapon type, and ignore the number of points put in the stam/magicka stat.
