Increased delay before being able to interact with objects after fighting

I'm on PC/NA and for the past week or so I've noticed an increased delay after fighting one or more mobs before you can interact with chests, harvesting nodes, NPCs, doors, etc. And no I don't mean when you're still "in combat" and the borders of the screen are red. It doesn't seem to prevent interacting with containers but it does with pretty well everything else.

It's not a long delay - just a second or two, but for me it's noticeably longer than it used to be. And BTW, my latency hovers around 100 same as it always has.

Anyone else notice a change?

    Dodge Rolling to (or around or near or by) the container in question seems to allow quicker access to looting.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Yeah I know that one - it used to happen to me a lot in Cyrodiil - and it was longer than a second or two: sometimes it was semi-permanent until you dodge rolled :)

    This one I'm referring to is different and I've only noticed it for the past little bit.

    I don't PvP much, well, rarely. I think my highest Alliance Rank is 2.

    But, this container delay has been around since DB at least, if not longer. Kill mobs, have to wait to pick a flower, loot a bag or open a treasure chest. Really sucks if your near someone else farming as they may, and have in my case, take the delay as not wanting the node and steal it.

    Believe me, I have noticed this delay that you are speaking of. What may be interesting is perhaps not all were experiencing it. It will go away and allow access after a few seconds, but the Dodge Roll allows it quicker.

    Oh yeah - this is the bane of my existense right now with the Double Loot in Orsinium.

    For some brilliant reason ZOS placed trash mobs around every single resource, so whoever gets there first has to fight them.

    But with increased activity in the area, there's almost a 100% chance you'll get poached before the fight is even over.

    If they don't get it while you're fighting - they get it during the stupid 5 second delay after the fact.

    There is one single fix I know of - and the enemy has to drop loot. If you loot a body, it seems to disregard this 2-3 second wait for other objects completely. I can loot a body and go to the next object without delay... but when 4 in 5 enemies don't drop anything, this isn't really a viable solution in most cases.

    Please fix this! Kill a mob, then you can't loot the heavy sack and someone comes by and picks it up

    This drives me nuts. I have had countless nodes taken while I was just standing there waiting to dig them (and not even in Orsinium). It does feel like it's been worse the last few weeks, since the One Tamriel update maybe, but that could just be me.

    Also I'm just an impatient person, so when I kill something and then try to go through a door to the next area, only to have to stand there while six or more other questers run through and exit without delay, it really bugs me. They really should enable interactions while in battle mode - being attacked would still interrupt the action if you were actually fighting, but if you were not fighting you would be able to continue what you were doing.

    Should have been in the beta stress tests.
    Hitting that 'e' key and waiting minutes.....if you were lucky.
    Hitting the wayshrine and the wayshrine saying....'you cannot leave!'....in a deep slow menacing tone.
    Stuck in combat too.

    Could be a clue in there ;)

    I didn't know this was going on for months. I just noticed it since Sunday. My first thought was that I broke my controller by hoarding too hard.

    I've really noticed this the last month. Blocking / sheathing doesn't fix it either like it used to. Dodge roll can.

    Restro staff skills always seemed the worst for it.

    sometimes the delay does indeed feel much longer than a week :)

    I got hit by a lock out after "Someone else is using that".

    I was in Craglorn this morning, saw a node and a runestone, went for the node. So did someone else, he got there first - not a problem, it was either him or me and it turned out to be him. So I went for the runestone, but despite getting the E prompt, hitting E did nothing. Bloke who got the node took the runestone too...

    It wasn't his fault (but I don't know if I'd have done the same), but being locked out by the game made me mad.

    It's been this way since beta. Haven't noticed any change better or worse tbh.
