    @ZOS_RichLambert

I agree, add everything to the telvar merchants, maybe there will be less pvp wine on the forums.

Oh, whats that, they complain about balance and lag and not about expensive potions?
Well lets just focus the important stuff, lag and balance aren't that big a deal in pvp are they?

Which merchant do you actually buy the parcels from? Checking them all at base and not seeing them...

So you can buy a "Waxed Apothecary's Parcel" from the General Tel Var merchant for 500 Telvar. It contains 6 semi-random reagents in quantities of 3 (so 18 reagents total per box).

I say "semi-random" as it seems like certain reagents have a higher chance to be found than others. For example, the chance to get Columbine, Corn Flower, Wormwood and Lady's Smock seems high while Beetle Scuttle, Mudcrab Chitin and Torchbug Thorax seems low.

I've only opened 30 boxes but my results can be found here if anyone needs them. Based on the current value of reagents on PC-NA we will probably see the the market being flooded a bit with reagents as one parcel is worth on average about 2000 gold which is a good conversion for 500 Telvar.

Also why would they make the most expensive reagents drop more frequently!? Doesn't make sense. Or maybe I'm reading your provided info wrong

Looks like they are based on rarity vs gathering. Those expensive ingredients aren't pricey b/c of rarity, but b/c they are used a lot. Where those others aren't as common drop rate wise. (Which makes sense IMO, some flowers are way overpriced - in fact Columbine was artificially driven up in price by a handful of players a while back).

Oh ok then that makes sense. Well Ima grind me some telvar in preparation for this update! For 15k telvar you get near 600 reagents! And the majority are the good ones! Hell yes!!

No need for me to gather anymore it would appear grinding telvar for the reagents seem more effective.

Why do ZOS always implement stuff that will cause the prices to drop?? How am I supposed to earn gold through guildstores when all stuff that´s profitable (like reagents for example) now can be aquired by tel var stones (which is really easy to farm)?? Reagents are one of the few things that´s been profitable (besides gold tempers) in this game.
And yes there might be other ways to earn gold I get that, but selling reagents are one of the easier ways (at least for me) to earn gold.

Edit: I might overreact (I have a way of doing that XD) but how much will this actually affect the prices for reagents??

@Nifty2g I´m curious about your view on this matter :)

With 1T zos seems to be making resources more independently sufficient. A character can more easily get and sustain resources themselves or with npcs.

This makes the SKILL and not the mats, the more valuable commodity for pc to pc economy.

That seems a very reasonable shift for a good game from whOle world perspective.

Like every change some folks focused on "how it was" may wind up changing "how I get or do x" after the rules chg.

Initially this presents as the WORST IDEA EVER. From initial reports the containers are quite lucrative, earning 4K from 5 minutes work in some cases. Why the hell even have nodes when you can get twice as many raw AND earn CP at the same time. Stupid move ZOS. Stupid stupid move. You have quite possibly begun destroying the happy fun communities built around these niche products and turned everyone into faceless farm everything without being a farmer experience.

BUT, if this does prove to lower potion prices then the loot and everything in the game also needs to drop by an equal proportion. Having someone charge 500K for a sword when they're paying 1/3 of the cost in potions etc to get it is rank.

Don't get me wrong. I've been running a potions specific guild for over 3 years now, it's taken a HELL of a lot of work as I've been constantly battling greed and trying to keep potions at a reasonable price. I fully agree that ONE Tamriel was going to cause some problems but this is not the solution. Farmed goods ALWAYS have to be more lucrative than ones eg bought by TelVa to accommodate for the lack of XP involved in farming. Please weigh it right and it MIGHT work.

    Great move ZoS!!

Remember this is only available to people with IC DLC and it's random like the upcoming crown crates so you pay real money to get random items, you use TV for random items or you just play the game and get the exact item you need.

Win win for everyone! This is not going to affect the economy.

What breaks the economy is the handful of players who continuously buy up items and sell them higher driving up prices and making it more and more difficult for players to get a hold of the things they need.

Case and point less than 12 hours since the new xp pots were announced psijic ambrosia (the key ingredient in the new xp pots) has been bought up on all the major traders (PC/NA) and is now selling for ~4k per pot - a 33% price increase in one day.

Of course people riding the hype wave will still buy them at the higher price but players like me will make the switch to xp scrolls once and for all.

Well, if there are more on the market, then that won't be the price, so the earning potential will go down and it's not as crazy as described once the market levels out.
