View distance - We can't expect more than that ?

I know it has been discussed many times but as long as nothing is being done, we'll keep posting about it.

Right now we have a choice between this :

100 View distance -



Or this using Hook64 (previously - eso Launcher) -




Game is absolutely beautiful, but without the add-on it feels like you're playing in a bubble of fog, breaking the immersion. With the add-on it's just ugly.
We can't expect anything better than minecraft's view distance for an Elder Scrolls game ?

Couldn't the blue fog could be put a little farther , like in the middle of the water in my 2nd screenshot ?

For the record this is Lord of the Rings online view distance in 2007 -




And if you excuse is PVP, those game have better view distance and open world pvp :

They're still using some really old school texture repetition rather than true fractal rendering. It just reminds you occasionally that none of this is real, and we're just actors on the grand stage set of Tamriel. If you look too closely, you begin to realize everything is just cardboard props.
