Pledge ready heal tank

Wanted to know if this is possible? Have a Templar magicka build but was thinking of going heal tank so that groups can go 3 dps and 1 tank/heals. Haven't found any updated builds on this so was thinking of this comp.

Any suggestions?

basically you will wanna build so that you can maintain your healing, taunt, block and debuffs like maim. i dont run one, i havent theory crafted it, and to be frank too tired to get more indepth then that. gear i would use would be 5p heavy 2p light. s/b with a nice monster set.

Thanks! I do have the basics down just the finer details. I'm planning on using s/b and destro staff because of the already useful BoL.

I have thought of using resto staff but it's not really useful in terms of aggro since blockade or impulse is a much better aoe magnet with a magicka build.

    Engine Guardian, 5 x Seducer, 5 x Desert Rose. 5 Heavy 2 Light

    or

    Engine Guardian, 5 x Armour Master, 5 x Footman. 5 Light 2 Heavy

    Both are excellent.

You need S&B and resto for Rapid Regeneration and other useful skills.

Ok so I have these on my bar:

    Sword and board
    Breath of Life
    Repentance
    Pierce Armor
    Purifying Light
Utility slot - Puncturing sweep / Absorb Magic / Heroic Slash / Blazing Shield
    Empowering Sweep ult

    Restoration staff
    Inner Rage
Rapid Regeneration ( I still prefer mutagen for the burst heals but as I understand it, BoL covers that.)
    Channeled focus
    Combat Prayer
Utility slot - Siphon spirit / Puncturing Sweep / Ritual of Retribution
    Light's Champion ult

Will these work? I've had problems with grabbing a group without the destruction staff but it does seem the Ritual of retribution works as well. The fact that I need to cast combat prayer while using resto staff during boss fights seems foolhardy but thats just down to my own game play.

My gear currently is build around ultimates so it's 5 piece dragon guard and 5 piece Robes of the Withered Hand with the Malubeth monster set. I am thinking troll king might be better but I'm guessing it's overkill on healing.

    Thoughts?

I would pick Magicka DK instead, preferably Argonian, Breton or Dunmer
5 x Armor of the Seducer (heavy chest, medium legs, light feet, waist, hands, all with divines trait)
5 x Trinimac's Valor (3 x jewelry, light head and shoulder, can be any of the small or medium pieces instead, all with divines trait)
1H+S on front bar from tanking (Alessia's Bullwark with defending weapon would add a lot of resistance), resto Master staff on back bar for stamina regeneration.
Front bar: Pierce Armor, Unrelenting Grip, Choking Talons, Ingenous Shield, Volatile Armor, Ult: Aggressive Warhorn
Back bar: Healing Springs, Combat Prayer, Mutagen or Healing ward, Obsidian Shard or Ingenous Weapons: Ult: Magma Shell
Atronach mundus stone, health + magicka regeneration orsinium food
Keep ingenous shield up for Trinimac procs, major mending and stamina recovery, main heal should be healing springs because it will proc Master resto staff enchantment.

I run a heal/tank for my friends to do this. It's capable of vet DSA as well. I cant remember my champion points but gear I run as follows.
    High elf
    5 seducer
    3 transmutation jewelry
    1h/s willows path
    2 Engine Guardian
    Maelstrom resto
    All prismatic glyphs

    1h/s bar
Bol inner fire extended ritual repent rune focus barrier
    Resto staff
Bol degeneration combat prayer ward ally mutagen war horn

    Tristat food
    28k magic
    28k health
    20k stam
    2800 magic regen
    1400 spell damage unbuffed
    34k resistances
You keep stam up by EG and repent. Tristat potions

Dungeons are really easy like this. VDSA can be difficult if the dps aren't on par.

heal tanking pledges is so easy
5x seducer heavy, 5x footman, 2x bloodspawn < not BiS, just sets i use cuz ive had em from like 2 years ago
heals 4 dayz and you literally take no damage
if you're really feeling saucy you can mess around with footman/bs for some other sets
