Returning after being away. How far behinde am i

So i havent played since darkbrotherhood came out im 517cp

1 bloodspawn
5 hundings
2 or 3 (i dont remember) marksmen or lekis

Stam nb two hand and bow build that was poupular

How far behinde am i is it going ti be super tough to catch up? Has there been major changes to pvp that really just make it not matter. Can i just pick the game back up and start enjoying pvp again or am i going to have to make major changes.

Any help or info is appreciated.

Youre pretty FAR behind, trust me, lots changed, youll catch up pretty quickly, PVP is now a pretty much PROC zone, so have fun with that. Lots of Proc sets that stack so most players will kill you easily, in my opinion I never really enjoyed Pvping...now...its even worst...In other news, DUELS were added

You're not far behind. To the extent you are, you will enjoy catching up. As someone who returned about a month ago, here are some highlights:

- The CP cap is now 561. You're close enough already that the difference will be minimal
- There are many great new gearsets, including monster masks. You'll find that they're much more attainable than they used to be. For example, monster heads are now a guaranteed drop in vet dungeons, and you can get up to six keys per day per character to fish for good shoulders
- Much of the new, great gear is dropped either in overland zones or dungeons. It's farmable
- Performance in Cyrodiil is not yet perfect, but it's better than when you left
- War. War always changes. Or, at least the 'meta' does. You'll find it has changed, though your stamina nightblade will still be just fine. You'll likely end up farming for some new gear.

The change to One Tamriel means there is more to do in game than anyone has time for. There's a ton of content now, and much of it is really good. Enjoy your return. I know I have.

I'm pretty much still wearing the same gear I wore when DB came out.

You can probably look at the new sets and see if one strikes your fancy, but they shouldn't be too hard to get.

I don't mean to hijack your thread but I'm in the same situation as you, although I'm just shy of 430 cp, not 517.
I'm a stamblade with DW/Bow (because I don't enjoy 2h and hate "meta" builds)

I use 1x velidreth, 1x molag kena, 5x hunding, 2x leki/nm and 3x agility. It used to net me the most dps out of mostly anyone I played with and I was certainly a force to be reckoned with in PvP, but this is certainly no longer the case.
I did 20k dps on all bosses in Vet Tempest Island earlier today which was the most dps by far in the group I was in, but when speaking to friends about this they say that it's pretty poor dps.
I felt powerful though, at least powerful enough for vet dungeons, and it was fun. But if it's crappy dps then it would seem I need to change things up.

The thing that confuses me is that the gear that was the best a few months ago is crap now and there are no in-game guidelines or resources to help me figure out what gear I should get.

So guys, is 19-24k single target dps and 50k aoe dps "bad dps" nowadays?


Anyone have any gear/skill advice for a stamblade? I don't care about the meta or fotm, I just want to do decent dps.
Would appreciate it.

I'm in same gear you have and works fine in pvp still just be little more wary of proctatos

Are you going to let your friends convince you that your lover is ugly and you should break up with them? Notice the Bolded part, that is all that matters. Are You having fun? Are You pulling your weight?

And, 20K Single Target Boss DPS is pretty decent for a build that is not a delicate gossamer crystal cannon that goes through attributes in 5 skills. Maybe swap out your weapons for some Sharpened, add some Penetration through the Champ System, but really, not much else you need to do.

Well, when you put it that way - of course not

After some researching it would seem that, like you say, sharpened weapons would make quite the difference. I think I'll stick with my current build for a while longer. Thanks for the input

Just thought id update my status after playing around abit in cryodiil (unrelated to the other guy asking questions apparently its hard to make a new thread haha jk love you)

But i do tons more damage then i use to i dont even know whats going on.

Im a ganker and i love it its fun to me and pretty much i open up on people heavy attack from bow from stealth poison injection gap closer (i cant remember what the stam morph of lotus fan is called) fear charge heavy attack animation cancle into surprise attack executioner ( i dont remember ability names)

If all goes well they dead damn.

Did they decrease the amount of damage you can take or what
