Helm Drops in Ruins of Mazzatun

I have a quick question. I've decided that I'd like to try out the Mighty Chudan helm which drops in the Ruins of Mazzatun dungeon. I've never done the dungeon and was wondering if the helm dropped on normal or only in vet? If it does drop on normal what is the drop rate? Thanks in advance!!

Helms only drop on Vet, and the drop rate is 100%

Only on Vet, but it is guaranteed to drop.

Good luck, hehe. It is the most annoying dungeon to complete in my opinion. You need a top notch group.

If you want that helm you're probably a tank. Imagine running VICP without buff food. VRoM is far worse with buff food. I've actually done both so I think the comparison is pretty fair. And add to that the fact most people haven't learned the mechanics in VRoM yet. When it's pledge I can't even find people most times, and HM is totally out of the question - I've done it with some friends when the DLC came out but no luck finding any groups that can manage that since. So prepare for a very punishing and frustrating experience.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll be rolling vet then. Frustrating or not I'd like to get the helm. I can deal with a bad trait for while as long as I get one. Thanks again!

Well when SOTH was released, the hist hallucination mechanic could be dodged. Then ZOS noticed that people were clearing HM and made it impossible to dodge.

I like challenging fights where you need to pay attention and you need to be good at your respective roles and play correctly... but vRoM HM is just stupid. Even if everyone plays well, you can still get screwed so easily. Someone get's sapped, then the adds spawn with a totem and the stoneshaper immediately enrages and channels the stone throw. Pretty much GG, try again.

Is that actually true for DLC dungeons now? I know that prior to One Tamriel you had a chance to get a helm in a DLC dungeon on non-vet (I got a few this way), but I haven't actually done any of them on non-vet since One Tamriel to check to see if the changes to helm drops were applied to the DLC dungeons as well as all of the others.

Before one Tamriel SotH DLC dungeons had a probability of dropping a mask in both normal and veteran. In normal that probability was lower and the mask was of blue quality, but still max CP160; other gear was the same. For IC dungeons it was more penalizing, since both gear and masks were max CP150, in addition to being blue quality. Now all dungeons drop blue max CP160 gear but no mask in normal mode, and purple quality max CP160 gear and a guaranteed mask. Some sets were also moved from IC dungeons to either vanilla dungeons or overland.

As a person who did every dungeon (including DLC) several times on normal and vet, I can say that yes, helm only drops on veteran mode (didn't knew you could get monster helms in normal before, but before I didn't really cared, only now started paying attention) Unless someone can prove me wrong or something I can say that helms only drops on vet yes
