Seriously, idk how anyone actually has the Flawless title, I get hosed by lag/macroslice every run (in addition to getting hosed by luck).

Honestly though, this event has screwed up vMA. One would assume Zos would do somethign with their servers to allow for bigger loads during the event. Its annoying having to go back and recast abilities arent working at all, mobs are hitting all at once/bursts. I love vMA, its fun trying to improve and beat high scores, I was really looking forward to grinding it over the next two weeks and I think ive finally found a build to beat my high score of 540k but I dont think I will be beating anything if the lags stays like this consistently over the next fortnight.

I dont think there is much luck involved as you think in general but occasionally there are times where it certainly appears that way. I dont think the 7th round is based on luck but when 4 flowers spawn in a circle around you on a stamina guy, you are screwed. But yeah I think most of it comes down to awareness of whats going on and knowledge of the fights.

Yeah I hear you, last night when it first started it was fine, was getting 530k+ scores and then this morning my mood was destroyed when I realised I wouldnt be able to do it during primetime. Hopefully it dies down in the next few days and its not like this outside of prime time.

Turn all that *** add ons off. As if you need that for there. I've done flawless the past 11 tines in a row now it's stupidly easy.

Remove pets and polymorph / skins too. They slow you down.

I hate VMA. Hate it. Even if I've run it 100+ times, I still hate it to its very core. It's not really hard once you get the mechanics down. There's some RNG here and there that can and will ruin a run, no matter how good you are... but there are still ridiculous bugs in VMA that have been there since it launched.

One of the worst VMA bugs is the "death slide" which seems to happen most on Round 3 and 5. You get hit, and your character just starts sliding away. You can't dodge, you can't move, you can't use any abilities. You just start sliding away (similar to how it takes you 10 seconds to fall when you jump on a small rock). And you die. And you rage. It's ridiculously common, too.

Or the "my weapons have gone invisible" bug which, again, has plagued VMA for so damn long (I've never seen ZOS comment on it though). It can be really hard to tell what weapons/gear you have when you can't see what you're actually using.

I am Australia though my gameplay is not liek that, its normally really smooth like anything. Only time is now when there are lots of people in there.

I wonder why does it lag tho... I understand lag in trials, there are 11 more players using abilities. I experience no lag in 4-man group content. Why the hell MA lags? There is no one else there but you and a few mobs...

Yup. That's how VMA goes for me too. My ping is never better than 250ms & so often I am visually out of the red area but half a second later the game decides I wasn't & I die. Though I find the most annoying thing with the latency is when it screws up a weapon change & you have to miss a couple of attacks to wait for it... then it changes twice

I don't understand how y'all are having lag in a single player instance... I've had absolutely no lag and I don't have a great system. And I've been in vMA 99% of the time since the event went live.
Sometimes my game starts skipping, even though I have perfect ping and fps, and I just /reloadui and it fixes it every time.

VMA is a joke. Not just because of the loot distribution and RNG involved, but because of the shoddy performance inside of it.

Just started vMA for the first time this evening. Made it to stage five with some really messed up lag spikes along the way. Basically what you guys experienced in your videos. But I just kept chugging.

I'm not finding it terribly difficult until the lag spikes then it's macro slice and insta gib, so I have to start the round over again.

I'm on stage 5 round 3, and the casters are hitting me during a spike all at the same time with no tell or possible way of avoiding. It's about 30-40k macro'd into one second. Full health to delayed death, just like your videos.

My question to you guys is; Does it ever go away? Do you have clean runs? If it stays the way it is, I don't think it's possible for me to clear it.

I'm playing on PS4 from Japan btw.

It would be cool if they could make an offline version of vMA. Load the entire instance before you go in, or play it from the disc. Once you're done it uploads your score to the server.

I'd love to experience this game with crisp response time. Most of the time when I play ESO I don't feel like I'm competing against the game or my fellow players, but more against the servers and the potential bugs that may or may not break the session.
