Item respawn rate question

Do ore, plants, runestones, and containers respawn at specific rates, random rates, or some other arcane algorithms? The info I googled is all from years ago, and I wonder if Update 12 changed anything. I know respawns also occur when you log out and back in.

✭✭✭Things that are instanced to you alone (sacks, crates, furniture, etc) respawn when you move between zones or relog.
Things that are not instanced (chests, crafting nodes, etc) respawn at a rate that is controlled by how many people are in the zone the last I heard. More people == faster respawns.@wayfarerx - PC / North America / Aldmeri Dominion0
