The Lost One

I think this is part of the main quest and I thought they changed it so these quests can be done solo. The sewer entrance to the this quest is marked as group, but there where 3 of us in there not grouped. This was like a public dungeon?? The enemies in there where tougher then a normal public dungeon - like a group dungeon. The mage I had to kill for this quest was tough too - just like a group dungeon. Took a bit to complete with 3 people. After all that I didn't get credit for this - it's still listed as not done??!! Is this bugged?

They did boost bosses health...perhaps that's why? And perhaps you have a few quests to finish there, or bosses? I don't remember seeing "The Lost One" public dungeon there, I will research forward. Will answer soon

EDIT:
After a bit of research, I found out that this is indeed a story quest, part of the Craglorn story line, kill mages and such, Ive found nothing about a repeatable quest (though I can be wrong). No bugs have been detailed, so perhaps try killing him again? Or, sadly, abandon the quest and redo it. If it still causes problems, id say tag a ZoS staff

Not sure - seems like they made this a repeatable mission and I think all the repeatables are for groups.

Still not sure and sounds like something bugged out if you didn't get cred for finishing the mission.

That's the thing. When I look at the door to this dungeon it says it's a group, but When I went inside there was 2 other players - no group?!

Unless the thing I've noticed is it may say group but you don't have to group. Same with a public dungeon

The quest IS broken. I had the same issue since One Tamriel. You just have to repeat it over and over. After about 20 times of soloing that little boss some random entered the room and i completed the quest. I dunno why though.

EDITED. Maybe like the person underneath this comment was saying. Maybe you need more than one person to complete. Which is why it worked for me the 20th time lol.

The quest you are referring to, is called The Shattered and The Lost... it is actually marked as a Group Quest, as many others of them are in Craglorn. I had initially been under the impression that all of these were to be made soloable as well. I tried soloing this boss myself and just couldn't so I gave up for the day.

Probably another ZOS Bait and Switch.

PS.... also getting tired of only getting purple glyphs out of the purple coffers.. such lowly rewards for a lot of work... so not even worth doing the dailies there any more.

It is not the main quest they changed to solo, its one of the side-mainish quests that is still scaled for group. I actually tried to solo the lost one, and managed to get to where the storm atronarch adds come... which done my poor nightblade in. Better players might be able to finish the fight on their own... but most will want to bring friends.

I also hear rumors the fight is bugged and sometimes does not advance the quest even if you take down the lost one, but cannot verify that... but if so, I guess get a group, do it again and again until it takes.
