Magicka sorc gear

With the release of update 12 I know there have been a lot of changes to sets. So I'm wondering what the best gear is for a magicka sorc. I currently go with 5 elegant, 2 Nerien'eth and 4 shadow dancer (just to get some extra spell dmg and Max magicka) I am changing monster set to llambris (just waiting on shoulders-divines) I have been trying to farm burning spellweave set, but I've been getting really bad luck with drops and bad traits. What's another good 5 piece that I could get? Any suggestions? I don't want crafted gear.

I've been playing around with mixtures of Julianos, Elegant and Spinner's with very little noticable difference between combinations. I get more reliable healing from surge with julianos, but I get better vma scores with elegant instead of julianos but shouldn't on paper. What you have sounds strong, but if you wanted some more sets to farm; Spinner's, Lich, Amber Plasm, Netch's Touch (niche). I can't get my head around why burning spellweave is so good, that 12s cooldown tho.. I would rather try to put together a shock build using netch's touch. In my mind it could be viable in pvp where more shock skills are of more use; boundless storm, streak, mages wrath, liquid lightening (maybe), overload, 1/3 of force pulse, lightening staff attacks + ulti etc.

I run, 5 piece julianos and 5 elegant for score runs it makes life easy...

However...

I've been running 5 inflam / 5 julianos / sharpen maelstrom staff and man oh man, it makes you want to take overload off and double bar destro especially with new ulti.

You can run into round 7 ( poison stage ) after the 2 original adds spawn, grab defensive sigil, power sigil

- pop eye of the storm
- - elemental wall
- liquid lightning
- heavy
- velicious curse
- heavy
- crystal frag ( generally should of poped )

And he dies that's 800k burn in I reckon 20 seconds TOPS. Bloody amazing.

I would of definitely gone with julianos but it's crafting only, I've seen a few staves on the guild trader but that's it. Burning spellweave does have a 12 second CD but it's active for 8 so its only 4 seconds. I mainly want gear for dungeons/trials. I will be attempting vMA very soon as well.

I recommend that you just use the shoulders that you have for illambris, it will out dps nerienith even with a bad trait.

I use illambris+ four armor julinanos and one elegant plus elegant jewelry with a sharpened julinanos flame staff and a sharpened sword and mace, julinanos and Elegance respectively, on my back bar. Really can't get better then that unless you are in a trial setting with 60%+ warhorn uptime.

The best part of using a crafted set it to get the undaunted passive maxed, that extra 4% magic is too good to pass on. I suppose you could get that from the monster set but it is just easier and more flexible if you use a crafted set.

I would use Julianos but I don't do crafting, I can't be bothered to do it, and I can't find anyone in game that will craft me some with the gold that I have. So lightspeedflash, you use 2pc ilamris, 5pc julianos, 4pc elegance
