VMA - Come get your clears!

Hey guys,

Name is Luke aka elitist scum bag for some.

Putting that aside.

I'm going to live stream Sydney Australian GMT +10 from 7PM till Late Vet Maelstrom runs on STAM and Magicka SORC.

My play style will help others also in how to kill bosses effectively WITHOUT Maelstrom weapons, WITHOUT optimum builds, WITHOUT cirtical gear.

I want to engage players and put faith in 80% of people who can't or have worries about there own setup and builds.

I'll also show the differences with BIS gear and SUB par gear which I'll run both, note I'm on PS4 so this will be extremely helpful for console players.

I'm NOT doing this for subscribers
I'm NOT claiming to be PRO "good"

I'm doing this for the people who need genuine help and are tired of looking at all the PRO andy, alcast and deltia videos - you will always be the masters.

Some need real help with less experience with different views without knowing spawns and timers which I found there really isn't much out there.

This is just an opportunity to see first hand, with questions answered with all sets all weapons combinations that YOU WILL CHOOSE the viewers.
Remember this is to help you.

I've been reading so many posts... with people getting disheartened and I firmly believe we can smash your runs out together with a step by step each round.

If people want clears, that is the best way to get them. ONCE you clear, other classes get easier because you know spawns, mech etc.

As someone trying for my first clear now, I've watched a lot of videos already. The vast majority are people in BIS gear (5x gold VO, 2x sharpened maelstrom daggers, etc). These videos are based more in pride than a genuine desire to help those new to this content.



EDIT: I lived in Sydney for three years. As an American who has traveled much of the globe, I think Sydney is the best city on the planet.

I completely 100% agree with you sir.

This is why I was running with only blue gear to show how achievable it is for 90% of the player base.

I was using my stam/magicka so where I agree it was much easier with a shield sorc ( it really is ) I wanted to show that it could be very easily achievable without ALWAYS relying on shields.

That actually sounds like a real challenge TAKE shields OFF all bars and complete maelstrom. Will add that to the list LOL.

THIS is exactly what I wanted to do without maelstrom weapons to show exactly how it's done. I'm happy to talk you through the entire arena on shareplay to get it done I've done it for a fair few people and trust me it helps a bunch.

As long as you're open to criticism in order to obtain those sort after maelstrom runs! especially for this event!

First.. Holy cow.

Second, I'd love to see that if one of the runs was a stamina sorc. I'd watch that several times, particularly stage six (spiders!).

I do, come to think of it I left my stam on round 7 last night so I can finish it off and do another whole run in blue gear if you wish to watch.

I can also record it if you can't make it.

Yes, trials is just about it. If you're doing VMA right the adds will die before you get the benefit of the VMA weapons. Higher damage against adds means you burn adds faster and can get higher scores and easier clears.

I'm not trying to be rude but when I run 2 sharpen daggers I can see a difference especially with a good trap/poison/hail rotation on MOBS I completely agree with you 100% it's next to NO difference but with bosses... I kinda like NUKING.

MIND you, I've been running NON maelstrom weapons during my stream and all bosses are dying with 20-30 seconds TOPS using nightmothers.

So I do/don't agree with you. LOL. Confused? I am.

First run of the event this morning before work. Seems legit.

Andy S and Streak One (aka the two fastest dudes in vMA) never run vMA DW for their clears. Does this prove that they aren't BiS for the arena? I think it does. And before you ask, yes both of them have the vMA DW in perfect traits (said so themselves).

Nope. I'm on xbox so I don't have access to such things. But as @IzakiBrotheSs said the top VMA scores are from guys like andy s, fear turbo, fengrush, and gillam have all eliminated VMA DW from their VMA builds. I trust them and their access to data, and have emulated them and have witnessed the benefit first hand. Wish ZOS would give us console plebs the access to such things, but alas this is not the case. Getting your crit to around 75% or so means you can one-bang the adds, makes life a lot easier.

Yep, I did the same recently dropped vMA weapons for NM sharpen stupid the damage increase really...

Non the less congratulations to 3 of my viewers who have recently completed maelstrom with some helpful hints and tricks during my streams over the last 2 days.

Got some really good response from it, and I"m glad I can give back to the community.

Finally finished it today...thanks for all the tips Lukums1! Used the method of getting that defense sigil early on the last boss round and it really worked out much easier.

Very helpful with the tips on your stream too...I gave in and finally unlocked vigor today. Soooo much easier with vigor. lol.

Cleared it after about only 8-10 tries to get thru the last round (compared to so many deaths when trying to use dark deal instead).

Got a decisive axe, and powered inferno. not great traits, but my first, so i'm glad to have them .

Never thought i'd want to do it again, but after finishing I was ready to try it all again.
