Unable to dye costume with dye stamp

I bought a costume (Graht-Climber's Active Wear) from the Crown Store along with a dye stamp (Witches: Bloodstained Steel) with the intention of turning it into a more attractive color. I made sure to buy a product that didn't say it wasn't dyeable. But when I use the dye stamp from my inventory (I've tried both right-clicking it and choosing "Preview Dye Stamp" and double-clicking it) it gives me the preview of that outfit in the correct color, but doesn't respond to my pressing R to apply the dye. Only two options are given - 'apply' and 'exit,' and only 'exit' works. I've tried disabling my few add-ons and reloading the UI, but that doesn't seem to help. Double-clicking and disabling add-ons were the only solutions I've found on this forum, and Google gave me pretty much nothing. I'm not an ESO member so I can't use the dye station - thus the reason I purchased the dye stamp. So how can I dye this item? I really like the costume (assuming it was a different color), but if it is undyeable how do I go about getting a refund for both the costume and the dye, as the costume was misrepresented and I purchased the dye specifically for that costume?

Thanks!
