Best way to level new weapon type on a higher level character?

Hi everyone! Thanks for checking out this discussion! When I started my highest level character I chose to go with archery, but now I'd like to change it up. What's the best way to go about leveling a new weapon type on a lvl 30ish toon?

Equip that weapon and say 2 skills when handing in quests or grinding. Easiest way tbh wait till level 50 and with enlightenment just do a random daily for 210kxp at once. Takes it up a lot. Do another back to back for 60k. If it's pledge it's another 35k with full enlightenment.

I just put 2-3 abilities I need for grinding on my DW bar (or whatever your normal AOE farming weapon is) and fill the rest of the slots with abilities from the weapon I am leveling. It goes very fast at max level at a good grind spot.

As mentioned above wait for enlightens;

Do a random dungeon
Hit all the daily quest in Caglorn, Orsinium, Hews Bane, and the Gold Coast.
If you have four friends tade out WOrld boss quests in Orsinium for all five world bosses.

Shouldn't take you three or four days.
