Everyone's idea of "fun" is different. With the many changes of 1T I've found myself enjoying some changes and absolutely hating others. Other ongoing problems with the game will continue, and there will surely be things in later releases that will either delight or bother me. But there are still parts of the game that are still fun, so it doesn't make sense to just quit.
A few weeks in from 1T, I've found that I enjoy myself much more in ESO if I clearly define my limits and clearly identify things I just won't participate in / ignore / give up on - at the same time recognizing and accepting that others may have "cool stuff" that I will never have, because to me it's just not worth it to invest the time or money into those things.
Below is my list. What is yours?
- I never try to get a specific item with a specific trait: I'll take a Pollyanna attitude that training and prosperous will give me slightly more exp and gold, lol.
- I'll never buy a crown chest: I just never gamble in real life unless the odds are completely even, like in a friendly game of poker.
- I never try to get a special "limited edition" drop item at the same time as hordes of others are: I absolutely cannot stand being in a crowd of scavenging beggars hoping I will be the one to get one of a limited number of nice treats. I just don't do Black Friday and even as a child I never ran for candy Santa threw to mobs of begging kids.
- I accept that soloing Dolmens and world bosses is a thing of the past. I do them once for the FG credit / achievement and move on.
- I understand that PvP is broke and there is no reason to believe it will ever be fixed. Cyrodil and IC will just continue without me unless there is some specific reason to go there. Then I'll just go in and get out as quickly as possible.
