Magicka Sorcerer Benchmarks - What? Why? Which?

Hey Everyone,
Just trying to figure out how to benchmark my sorcerer for PVE to start. Is there a good boss that I can dps on a timer to get a guage? Also, what are some of the stat benchmarks I'm looking for? How much spell penetration, spell crit, crit damage, spell power, max magica, magicka regen, reduce magicka, etc. do I need?
What are some of the best set items to look out for and why? Any help here is greatly appreciated!
