So how difficult to get the Armor of the Trainee set?

Given that this set only drops in starter locations that have no dolmens, no world bosses and no delves, I am assuming it can only be obtained via chests and doing quests? Is that right? If so, it is going to be pretty hard to get 160 gear. If there is an easier way, please let me know.

    Starter area thieves troves can drop trainee set pieces. I also pass down all my starter area treasure maps to my low level characters for them to pick up trainee gear.

    Get an addon that reveals all possible chest location in the zone, or just find them yourself. Do quests too, I gathered full purple jewlry of this set in a day of farming the chests in the zone. Just make sure you have the thunter cp passive.

    Thanks for the replies - want 160 gear tho and have done both DC and AD starter areas ... guess I will have to farm chests!

    What do you mean by "good" traits in case of this set? IIRC this is only available in training ...

    It rarely drops in other traits from chests but you can get other traits from quest drops, plus the jewellery drops in arcane/robust/healthy.

    I farmed it in Kenharti's roost, opening chests.
    Once you get the hang of it, you can make your own track around the island, just remember to keep looking for them on the coasts.

    It is pretty easy getting the pieces however it can take a few hours to get the right pieces.

    I've gotten a couple of pieces of this set without doing any starter zone. I've been doing delves in Craglorn, Gold Coast, Hew's Bane, Wrothgar and some of the other higher level zones like Bangkorai. Don't know where the training set pieces dropped for me, but I never pass up a treasure chest. (I'm on NA PC.)

    Do the initial Jakarn quest in stros m'kai for a sharpened sword of the trainee. I run blue arcane jewellery and dual sharpened swords with a precise mace and reinforced shield on my back bar. Got all of them in one night of questing for the weapons and chests for the jewellery.

    Is the trainee set can only be found in Treasure chest or any chest on the island?

    I had a Treasure chest and got trainee necklace, but since I can't get this Treasure chest again, I was thinking about where are the normal chest we can find Trainee set?

    70% more XP from each mob plus good grinding bonuses makes this a very good CP160 set ...

    I haven't tried it yet, but, I thought the tri stat resource pool boost made this a good cp160 pvp set...particularly for a DK???

    I asssumed the same but can imagine it's an incredible grind for impen pieces in heavy

    I pulled a CP160 purple ring of the trainee last night in Benitakh (or however it's spelled). It was in a master chest.

    Good question. I have a shield but i never actually tested that with it.

    Technically, the shield *should* count as an armor piece and thus break the 5 piece bonus if you rely on it.
    I have only tested weapon swap with 5 or more body armor slots.
