THE MAIN QUEST LINE WITH ONE TAMRIEL

I have a question related to the update. I am about to finish the main quest line (Ebonheart) on PS4. Before the update I would have been sent to another alliance. Does that still happen or do I get the option to choose where I want to go?

You can still go wherever you want. After completing your main quest, though, you will be able to start the Silver quest from the other alliance on their starting city. Without completing your main, you just won't see the starting quest.

I have been holding off on completing the main until after this update. I was hoping that would have changed. I may be too loyal but It seems odd to me. You had to choose an alliance in the beginning. Flipping after completing the main quest line seems unfaithful.
