Fungal Viper Drops...

Ok it's pretty bad when I've been farming Fungal Grotto for at least 7 hours today and have yet to get an Impen Shield drop or a 1h Sharpened drop of the Viper...see maybe 2 shield drops today and like 1-2 weapon drops in general....

Swords and Shields are dropped by Final Boss, so per run you have only one chance..

Hell idk how many runs tbh I just know it's been alot and I've ran this dungeon for the last 6-7 hours spending 15-30 mins or sometimes even less if on normal to try and get this crap

Run normal version 2. The second boss that pins someone to the ground drops a named dagger, there is rng to get the dagger to drop but it will always be sharpened

It took me 6-7 hours of daily farming for 1 week to get 4 pieces of impenetrable Lich gear. I suggest memorizing the chest locations + activating the chest boon from shadow CP to better your chance.

Grinding is grinding. You're not suppose to get everything right away unless you're lucky. Im still trying to obtain spriggan impen after 2 days and also still grinding vmsa for sharpened weapons. It sucks but hang in there.

I have been sitting in City of ash 5 Days 5Hours each day and I still do not have what i want.

30 runs...it is just the beginning

I'd just say to anyone - try not to worry about BiS. As long as overall, you're 80% there with your setup - Just do what you enjoy. (unless ofc what you enjoy is farming gear - but if that was the case, you wouldn't be complaining about it!)

Been having fun in PVP for the last 3+ months with a training viper shield (viper shields were always like hen's teeth). Yeah, I could have ground for an impen shield, but I wouldn't have enjoyed doing it and really, at the end of the day, I'm sure I wouldn't have even noticed the difference on going back to PVP..

Same for the weapon. I'm using defending. I'm not really sure why everyone says sharpened is best (for pvp) - The way I see it, defending is a direct counter to the sharpened that everyone else is(wants to be) carrying - and its a damn sight cheaper/easier to get.

little tip: run straight to the first 'bigger' boss (before the door comes), ignore the other bosses. Kill this one and the adds you pulled the whole way. Then run through the door, through the tunnel. After the tunnel, jump down on the left side (into the water) and go up to this big mudcrab boss. Kill him (or sneak around) and then go to the final boss.

This is the fastest way without using any exploits.

Grinding does get very boring, I'm grinding a few sets and just switch which one I'm grinding to change it up a bit

be creative with what u can get. instead of trying to copy- make what u do get work.


find friends or guild mates who will swap and help you out - the chances of u running a dungeon- and being the 1 in 4 that pick it up are slim. but most of all be patient. ur not meant to have the bis in one day or week.

Ive been working nSO for 3 months now and have only 4 pieces in divines, but heck its gonna make it that much sweeter when i do get it.

mind u - yesterday i did 5 runs of fungal. got a 2h sharp, bow sharp and 1h sharpened dagger + 1h mace sharpened.... RNG on my side baybee!!!

I've been farming it two days not one shield and not one sharpened viper weapon

Keep at it. I did 60+ runs yesterday with nothing then got 3 impen shields back to back then a sharp dagger, it's just rng

Your best bet would have been to buy the two viper rings in gold this last weekend, and have viper armor to finish the set and have different sharpened weapons from another set that isnt as difficult to obtain.

Got a defending mace and a sharpened viper sword within 10 tries today. Just need to get an impen shield and I'll be set.

You're half way there. After about 60 runs I had every armor piece of Spellweave, the purple jewellery pieces and sword/shield.
I ran vCoH I so much I could solo the entire dungeon pretty fast. Definitely helps if you bring friends though so they can trade any drops you want with you.
Pretty sure you play PC/EU too, so if you're interested I can tag along and help you farm.
