[Suggestion] Crafting Revamp - Researching Dropped Sets Bonuses. End Game Crafting Solution.
Arguably crafting is starting to lag behind the various other game systems and needs a bit of an overhaul regarding materials etc. I know it's a popular request to be able to convert dropped sets to specific crafting sets, but I have a suggestion that would be the perfect compromise.
What about letting people research set bonuses from end game sets. Make this incredibly difficult requiring you to have found multiples of the same item drop and only allow the researcher to "store" one set in their knowledge base per workroom. This means multiple crafters will be beneficial to a guild to cover multiple sets.
This solution allows crafting to be a valid option throughout the game and set drops to still have a purpose.
How to implement this:
1. The more expensive houses in the Housing update allows you to have a crafting workroom in your house.
2. You dedicate your crafting workroom to one specific set at a time.
3. If you want to learn a different set to store in your workroom you have to forsake all the progress you made with researching your existing set in a workroom.
4. Maybe if the restriction of only knowing one set at a time is too severe you can "store" other sets in your other house workrooms. This encourages end game crafters to have multiple houses at huge expense.
5. To learn a set bonus the player has to find 10 copies of a specific set piece. The research time should be double that of a final nirnhorned trait.
6. This way you can finally craft a set into a specific motif style of your choice.
