Unfollowing a thread

I have no idea how to not follow the "cheating and exploits" thread, I get 10-20 notifications a day. Can someone please help? I didn't see a proper forum, so I'm asking here. Thanks

If you have the thread bookmarked, simply removing the bookmark will resolve the issue. If not, you'll need to go to your profile to edit your notification preferences. To do that follow these steps:

1. Mouse over the white gear on the black bar where your forum username and the bookmark star icon are
2. It will say Account Options, click it and select Edit Profile
3. Click Notification Preferences on the menu on the left side of the page
4. Click the boxes to change your selections for the item "Notify me when people comment on discussions I've participated in."
5. Click the Save Preferences button on the bottom

Look next to the thread title on the right aide There is a star, you probably hit it by accident, I do it all the time just hit it again so it's not highlighted

The star was already unchecked, could be a glitch or something. I checked it, then unchecked it again. Thanks for the reply...
