The name of the game expanded to Tamriel Unlimited way back when, because they changed the payment model for the game from p2p to b2p. You shouldn't look at One Tamriel as a new release, but rather as a DLC update (even if it isn't DLC). Just like the game doesn't rename to DLC's e.g. Shadows of the Hist, it won't rename to One Tamriel.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭Interestingly enough, Tamriel Unlimited seems to be being removed from most user-facing branding. It's no longer present on the website, the PC launcher, ESO Live, or the forums, and wasn't used for the Gold Edition box release either. BucFanJKE✭✭✭Honestly though, Tamriel Unlimited still fits. By changing to the everyone can be everywhere and levels don't matter (other than end game gear), it truly gives you the "unlimited" ways of exploring Tamriel.0 -

Glad to hear this! I know the "Tamriel Unlimited" part was added when the subscription became optional in order to, I guess, convey that a single purchase gave you unlimited play time. But it was always rather clunky.1 -

Wait a second.....
Now I'm pretty sure The Elder Scrolls Online changed its name to The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on March 17, 2015.
This falls conveniently into the timeframe of Q1 2017, since major updates are scheduled Quarterly.
I think Gina is trying to tell us that they are going to change the name again in around Q1 2017.
