Dps/ sustain build magicka DK

I'm working on a dps sustain heavy armor DK. Front bar destro flame, back sword and board. Race is a dark elf. Will this work? Any suggestions??

Don't bother.

Magika DK's can either be pure tanks, or pure DPS... anything in the middle is mediocre.
The closest I have seen is going to rely on a destro staff and Elegant set on one side.

If am wrong, and someone has found a solid build like the poster is talking about, please direct me to a video because i have been looking for this build for a long time.

Go dps and block cast. With 5 plus enemies around you can det, eruption, talon, engulfing flames and deep breath all while holding block. Then you just heal with deep breath spam.

Use lit staff over flame. I park everything up dots down woe down and hold trigger and do immense damage. Plus this will be a better way to use illambris. You'll have them both up all the time. Once your dots are on and holding trigger on staff you'll be fine for magika just don't over spam attacks, you've got an 8s rotation before you need to recast anything so it's not an issue.

recent updates made DK Magik abilities cost more. i parked my DK yet again non sorc mage builds get crapped on by developers poor thought process

He was probs talking about PvP man...

BTW as a DK you should really be using Grothdarr. Ilambris is almost exclusive to sorcerers. Grothdarr compliments DKs perfectly though as it only procs off flame damage, does pretty damn sick AoE damage. So flame staff for DK all the way!
